The homing launcher should be level locked

I love how people keep complaining about the homing launcher , i have seen at least four threads recently of people saying it should be nerfed , level locked etc , the thing is they only complain when its used on them , i guarentee if they were on foot an a helicopter start to attack them the first thing they would do is use the homing launcher , i for one love the weapon an think it should be left the way it is , pussys are ruining this game , they cried about the tank it got nerfed to being almost useless , they cried about heavy sniper , it got nerfed to not nearly as powerful as it was , whats next , nerf they whole game so its all cuddles an kisses , this is gta they should make everything just mayhem , if you dont like it then dont play it

Oh please, you're saying if something is broken and/or overpowered I should just stop playing the game? If something is too powerful it should be changed. You can't say "it's gta" so everything should be overpowered. The tank was completely outrageous and 100% needed a nerf. To be honest with you I don't ever remember a nerf for the heavy sniper. Care to provide a link?

 

 

Love how HulioG didn't adress how the changes weren't even a nerf at all. He probably heard it got nerfed somewhere but didn't bother to read what the nerf was. Because if he read the change, I doubt he would have brought it up in the first place considering how little the "nerf" did.

Let it go kiddo...Point proven, the nerf did nothing so it's completely irrelevant and that's your only response, typical.

Love how HulioG didn't adress how the changes weren't even a nerf at all. He probably heard it got nerfed somewhere but didn't bother to read what the nerf was. Because if he read the change, I doubt he would have brought it up in the first place considering how little the "nerf" did.

 

 

Dafuk... I think you have me confused with someone else.

An idiotic comment like this proves you haven't been playing since day 1. If you had been, you would not make such stupid comments. Level lock the bitch! Make the scrubs earn their rank and kills the hard way like I had to do!

I've been playing since day 2. Only douche griefers want the low levels to be completely defenseless. The best things to happen to low levels have been the unlocked special carbine and the homing rocket launcher. The best thing to happen to the game has been the nerfing of the Twankers.

 

I didn't understand much of the comaining about jet griefers. You could have just gone passive for 10 seconds and they'd leave... But being able to shoot them down is better.

I believe it should either be level-locked or weakened. It's nearly completely unavoidable in helos and completely ineffective against the faster jets. You can't just say "oh derpy derp, get better you noob" (Now I'm not the best pilot, but I'm definitely a lot better than most players.) or "it's balanced now because EVERYONE was killing people with choppers" (So when it's the other way around, no one in ANY chopper is safe, that's balanced, right?) or my favorite thus far, "it was nerfed, quit bitching" (It definitely wasn't nerfed because it's still a one-hit kill that requires no skill, yay rhymes.)

 

 

First of all, you ever see what happens when a guided missile misses an aircraft? I personally haven't either, but heat-seekers DEFINITELY don't U-turn when they miss and can't see the target anymore. Second, why does only one missile completely destroy all aircraft? A Buzzard or Mallard, I can definitely understand, but a big ol' Annihlator or Cargobob or a freakin' Titan for crying out loud should definitely not be blown to smithereens from a single small man-portable homing missile or any guided rocket for that matter. (Air-to-air missiles are mostly understandable, seeing that they're carried by fighter jets and whatnot.)

 

My suggestions:

- give aircraft counter-measures like flares

- make the homing launcher's missile weak enough to where the first hit kills the engine and the second destroys it

- increase missile's turning arc and its speed, so it's POSSIBLE to avoid in helos but at the same time can catch up to JETS

- make the outer square in the reticle (the missile's eye, I guess?) half the size or something, so any idiot can't just let loose anywhere on-screen and guarantee a hit

 

Any of those will do. Give the pilot some sort of chance to survive instead just a tone being "well, you're f*cked" notice. There's a huge difference between balancing and nerfing.

Two and three are good.

 

I would generally discourage flares though, otherwise people will start using them offensively to bypass the risk of an anti-air missile.
