Do you utilize the whole map and all of it's features?

When ever i'm in GTA:O everyone is almost always in the city or Fort Zancudo... so does everyone spend most of there time in the city? also does anyone use the trains and trams taxis etc...and building interiors, and other features?

I stay mostly in Los Santos, couldn't really care less for the non-city parts of the map since I find urban environments way more interesting and aesthetically pleasing than wilderness. The only time I'd rather be in the wilderness is when it's snowing. I like Sandy Shores because desert, but I really wish the desert area was larger. I'd spend more time there if it was. Other than that, the only time I'm really out of either Los Santos or Sandy Shores is when I'm on the highway because I like to drive fast.

 

As for the map's utilities, I don't use the train for transport but I enjoy hiding from players on it. Same for the tram, rarely use it for transport but I enjoy shooting things from it. And the taxi, I actually use it a lot because I feel like it adds more realism and RP elements to the game, which I like.

It is true that we now have access to the police station of the LSPD! However, it would also be cool to be able to access the FIB building, Bahamas Mamas, Tequi-la-la, etc.

The only two things that keep me from being outside LS more are the glaring lack of cover from choppers if on foot, and fewer ways to lose the cops than downtown.

 

But I absolutely love flying my Buzzard all over the place--if I could own only one vehicle in the game, that would be it.

I don't see why Tequi-la-la ain't accesible in particular. I mean, Rockstar made its use in Online in the Fleeca Back job. Like, why not have it open like... anytime?

The lack of interiors is one the most disappointing aspects of GTA V and GTAO, I guess the sheer size made them impossible to add, but other PS3 R* games had some interesting buildings to explore. The irony of the franchise is that although they all look different on the outside, all the non- shooting range Ammunations are identical inside

Im in the city the most, around my alta st home, or in the ghetto, the streets are perfect for drifting in my futo.

 

The country, i only visit when i have a bounty or want to role play alone.

I go for road trips, bike trips, boat-trips and fly-arounds all over the map, all the time.
Even the occasional dive too, now that rebreathers have been added.

That said, I like to RP in 1st Person, all about the immersion for me.

Never used to stay in free roam longer than it took me to open phone and load up the next random contact mission.

Now that there are heists (which I'm nearly bored with already) and I hate this new on-call-only thing, I spend more time just driving and fooling around in free roam.

Made friends with people doing heists and we mostly mess around and do daily objectives, not sure if it's because I have everything I could ever need or if I'm bored of trying to grind and get everything and more.

Every session I'm in, there's always around 85% of the players in the middle of the city and 70% of the time they're just having a free-for-all war, so now I tend to go up into the desert and do whatever I want without having people bother me.

There's a HVY Dozer in the construction site in Paleto Bay and I love driving that thing around, even though it moves slower than a turtle, it pushes multiple vehicles like a tank and you can flip over trucks with the scoop.

I also never really knew where the mineshaft was, would look for it in the past but I could never find it... helped a friend today with his bounty and I followed him into the mine. I think I could probably get lost in there lol.

I'm around and about everywhere I can be. Taking the Sanchez for some cross country rides is fun and theres always a new hillock or rut to flip on, equally so there's some back alley in the city (usually with a fence at the end of it sadly) or car park I've not paid much attention to. Initially, like so many others, fleeing a chase involved prety much who has the faster car and can avoid the ai turning out at you. Over time it's evolved to using breaks in walls, ramps, alleys or stair ways you can squeeze a car down - which sometimes get the lowered suspension cars stuck.

 

There's a lot to see and do, especially in the country when you take the time to let things spawn or notice then. It can be quite good bunkering down in the train flatbed and sniping. I only wish the cable cars ran in free roam, parachuting out the door or shooting a chopper could be fun. As well as cable car jousting.

Usually go for cruise on a BMX with mates around Los Santos or we might go out to Mount Chillard. Los Santos is usually are warzone.

Given that both of my LS apartments are located across from tram stations, I do find myself using them quite frequently. The same could be said for the freight train that I use to commute to LS as my main crib is in Paleto Bay.

I usually go on a full San Andreas tour when I have a bounty, though Paleto Bay and Mount Chiliad tend to be where I spent a lot of my 'wanted' time.

 

I'm still finding new places even thought i've been playing since Oct 2013 - only found out the other day that there's a (small) interior inside the Land Act Dam you can go into

I do the same. It seems like everyone just wants to kill each other in the City all of the time. I'd love to have 30 players fighting on Mt. Chiliad.

You missed off the subways in the city. Yes, they're train and tram tunnels, but you don't have to be on a train or tram to use them. I quite often dive into the subway to get across the city if I have a bounty on me and some "interested parties". It's also quite secure since cars can't get in and out like bikes. I've only been killed twice in the tunnels since the game was released. One I don't know what happened - he was just there and killed me before I knew it, and the 2nd was a guy in a tank that I was teasing and got cocky.

 

You can go from the main road in Rockford all the way down to the airport in those tunnels, and only have to briefly be above ground. They deserve a mention.
