GTA V was designed with last-gen consoles in mind and they've been working on the Heists update since pretty much the game came out in 2013. Do you guys think that when they applied the heist content to the next-gen versions, some graphical settings were turned off on accident and were simply missed during QC? The car deformation bug must be a true bug though because even last-gen consoles had car deformation. I'm just thinking that since the heist update took so long to develop, it was truly meant for the last-gen systems and thus it messed up the next-gen versions. This could also be why it was delayed so many times and also why the PC version was delayed so many times. This is all just speculation though, but it could explain some things. Dock Posted March 25, 2015 Share Posted March 25, 2015 First of all, this could've been discussed in the existing thread regarding the downgrade, where people have already been making assumptions similar to yours. (inb4 backseat modzzz) But yes, I agree with you, I think the devs may have toggled some things off during development to deal with other issues and may simply forgotten to switch them back on, more or less. Mistakes happen, although mistakes seem to be popping up with every new update I'm sure they'll address the issues with a patch pretty soon, and I believe that this was just a case of negligence, because let's face it, I wouldn't expect them to have really noticed Parallax Occlusion being turned off, nor the lack of deformation when testing heists, which are pretty fast paced activities and you simply wouldn't realise about it unless you paid REALLY close attention. I still play on last gen (PC version where art thou) on deformation is STILL there, heck they actually made the game look a bit better now as well, so it's not "console limitations" right? Unless Current/Next Gen' consoles have some weird barrier that's stopping the dev's for some reason. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
