It fixes the downgrades according to funmw. Rockstar probably regret the decision fast. Or if it was sh*tty programming then hell, this is starting to backfire on them.

new patch is out PS4 5 GB

 

I´m not gonna download this immediately. No f*cking way. Perhaps "in a few weeks or so".

 

My game is 1.05 or 1.06 (not sure, the latest patch is the one that fixed the not moving trees). So I wanne be sure this patch won´t make things worse.

I'm thankful for the downgrade on GTA:O because the framerate was downright unplayable before the heist update.

 

But there was no reason to downgrade the singleplayer since the game has always run well. So why change it?

 

As an almost entirely SP player, you're wrong, the game had FPS drops all over the city, plus the goddamn input lag, that was the worst, that was truly unplayable.

Oh cool, a patch came out that fixed these unintentional bugs.

 

I'd like to thank the academy, all the sensible people, and f*ck you to everyone else. We shall remember this week as "Rockstar "Purposely" Made the Trees Not Sway in the Wind Part 2: Electric Boogalo."

Once this game is out on PC, I won't have to put up with this sh*t. (I will undo the downgrade.) Not to mention that the game was downgraded from the start, regarding lack of dynamic shadows.

 

Every video game looks better in the trailer. They upgrade the graphics for the trailer, and they don't render it in real time. It is like a White Castle slider. Looks great in the picture, but looks like sh*t in real life.

Not to mention the fact that Rockstar didn't fix the lack of Parallax Mapping. They did however make the glitch where you can go into the low detailed bar spawn you under the map as they are so anti interiors in Free Mode.

R* have lost it. Hopefully the team that makes Red Dead will be in charge of the next GTA. The second that I played GTAV I noticed the laughable crash physics. I knew right then and there that R* ruined GTA. GTAV got a 6.8/10 from me.

exactly. rockstar san diego should be in charge of the next gta game, or atleast get the people who worked on 3 /vice city/ san andrwas, IV and red dead redemption. gta v felt like they got brand new people working on the game.

U knw i sent this video to R* support to fix the deformation damage and they actually made a ticket for me and asked to describe the problem in detail...they named it "Collision- GTA Online" and that they will send it to the devs

So i marked the problem being shown starting at 2:40 in the video

The second that I played GTAV I noticed the laughable crash physics. I knew right then and there that R* ruined GTA.

 

That basically happened to me. I was driving in that first part with Franklin and Lamar and I crashed and it was so disappointing.

RDR was the buggiest, sloppiest Rockstar game ever released on the back end. It didn't come to PC because it a was technological hacked together mess made by insubordinate people who blamed their managers for their poor work which suffered years of internal delays because no one could follow direction. Fact. Just read up for yourself on the history of RDR. To put RDR on PC would have required to start completely from scratch. It wasn't as popular as people think, either.

 

It's still an awesome game, for what it is - but saying "San Diego should do the next GTA" is the most flagrantly silly thing I have ever heard anyone say about Rockstar.

 

If it weren't for Rockstar North stepping in and helping them, that game never would have been published - 5 years after it was supposed to be. It was supposed to be a PS2 game, it restarted twice.

 

Rockstar North are regarded as the most prolific game development studio to ever exist, their track record is unrivaled. Toronto and San Diego did GTA IV on PC. Think that over a little, to understand why RDR never came to PC. :p

On NeoGAF someone said GTAF had said there was now a new patch, at least fixing the terrible damage system for vehicles. Maybe PS4 only then, cause it's still ridonkulous on the Xbox One. The things i just did with my car in terms of crashing in GTA V, boy there should have been nothing left of the car. But how did it look? Heh...some scratches on the front and back, barely any dents, what the f*ck?

Man, the things I see on this forum get better and better each day.

 

People thought Rockstar San Diego was crazy for developing a game that took place in the Old West. The developers themselves didn't think the game would be popular or sell well, yet it did. That's one of the things people remember about Red Dead Redemption - that the devs themselves didn't think the game would perform well, yet it did.

 

But hey, here we are six years later, and Red Dead Redemption supposedly isn't as popular as most think it is. Whatever.

 

Then again, this is the place that believes GTA V was a total blunder. Sure it has some odd designs, and luckily people on the PC can fix some of those things, but god damn people really blow V's faults out of proportion here. At least when the next GTA games rolls around and everyone here hates it, you'll all start looking at V in a better light - just like people did with GTA IV once V came out.

Car deformation is purely cosmetic. There is no reason for them to purposely remove it.

No it isn't, it also affects the car's functionality. Smash up a car a tad too much? it will simply not start the next time you get in.

Last update only fixed the damage lack. Let's continue sending tickets and tweets until they fix the parallas oclussion mapping and anisotropic filtering.

Someone in NeoGAF please post this.

Actually it was just Toronto that did the PC version, the side of San Diego that gave some help was the RAGE TEAM side seeing as they did this small thing called creating the game engine that Rockstar use for their games! :p The year break that L.A.Noire gave them really did help with refining the engine and getting it to work well, RAGEb3 (or 3.0) was a huge improvement on platforms that wern't the Xbox 360, the engine actually made use of the PS3's SPU's, actually took advantage of PC hardware, etc. So no need to bad mouth San Diego really as they are the ones making the biggest improvements to the games by constantly fixing and sorting the main engine base.

Copy pasted tree's everywhere, vegetation is there but barrely any heck even grass is copy pasted. No detail whats so ever, well what should we expect from a 2010 game?

Much more vegetation, better and more realistic looking tree's, better ambient occlusion, forest areas more denser even if its smaller compared to RDR, much more enjoyable compared to LG GTA V.

This shouild be enough proof that Red Dead Redemption looks better than GTA V. Also how is the first picture a bullshot, it's actually ingame so??? I've played the game myself on PS3 and it looks phenomenal, even today it challenges PS4, Xbox One games easily!

And yes, GTA V had so much more things going than RDR did. That's a huge factor.

I don't have the game on the PS4/Xbone, but did the nerfing of car deformation also remove the effect of the axles becoming bent/broken as well? If it did, it makes even less sense for Rockstar to purposely remove it.

Like I said, it made no sense for them to want to purposely mess up the car deformation, especially if it made things easier. But that's all in the past now, because it's a confirmed bug you twit, and it was fixed.

The only time that axles didn't break on purpose (I'm using paste-tense now since this confirmed bug has been fixed), was during missions. From my understanding this is a gameplay design, so the pacing isn't ruined if you crash up your vehicles too much. But once the mission has been completed, if the axles were supposed to be broken, they will be.

 

But in freeroam they get bent all the time. How stupid to believe that Rockstar actually wanted to remove this and deformation.
