Depending on your plan.

Do you need an armored, weak door, sedan that can carry 4 person and run swiftly

or a truck that can hold 6 person, totally solid, but slower?

If you want more safety, then get Insurgent. Keep in mind that Armored Kuruma doesn't allow you to shoot backwards and throw bombs.

Not sure about the insurgent though.

You can use all weapons inside the Insurgent and it can withstand RPG/Stickies/Rocket attacks from helos but the windows aren't bulletproof.

While the Kruma has bulletproof windows it can withstand most gunfire except autoshooty and will be destoyed with one sticky/RPG

I have both but i use my Armoured Kruma more

armored kuruma is perfect to use for old missions and a few heists.especially the set up to acquire the helicopter and insurgent.also awesome when lester wants you to turn a,blind eye.the insurgent is basically good for clearing a path.

They're both good. The Insurgent is more fun though

Depends on what your looking for:

Kuruma is faster, better performing, and has partially bulletproof windows, but isn't as strong

Insurgent is stronger, has more mass (can "Hulk Smash" better), can take a crap ton of explosives, but is much slower.

In the end I prefer the Insurgent but if you are able to, I recommend getting both.

Grumpy-Goat-

I have both. Like them both for their attributes already notes in this thread. In free roam I tock my insurgent. It's a damage taking beast. Then if someone does manage to destroy it the tab is on them and I still win as their wallet gets thinner. It's not cheap.

I have both also.

The Kuruma is fine against cops if you are looking for the 5 star achievement, great for a lot of missions that do NOT need sticky bomb ability and has a surprising amount of ramming power. In free roam, it's a target and weak against anything but small arms fire. The limited angles you can fire from are limiting but not unworkable. R* had to balance it somehow.

The Insurgent is a weapon. It can withstand 2 tank shots and is not slow just not sports car fast. You can shoot almost 360 deg (I seem to get a few dead spots out of it) from it and toss bombs. Rugged, faster than is should be and more versatile than the Kuruma. It does have that swishy truck suspension but better braking than most. It's a big truck, it's going to handle like one.

They are apples and oranges. But if I had to choose? I would choose the Insurgent. Speed isn't everything and tossing bombs works too good to not use.

Insurgent with a turbo isn't much slower than the Karuma. Even on long distance hikes to missions the Karuma will almost always be on screen.

Insurgent without a Turbo, snails pass you.

Keep the standard suspension on the Insurgent as well, modded is crap off road and can lead to a lot of rolling over accidents.

Buy a bulletproof helmet for using when in the Insurgent.

If you like dossing about in the Merryweather Jeep, then this is the next step up.

Very important in your HVY Insurgent experience. Slightly less important on your Karin Kuruma (Armored) experience.
