N7Operative84
Most of these films come from my IMDB.com profile ratings. Not all of them made it. I mostly didn't list my very guilty pleasure films. I am missing a lot of films that skip my mind. Also, I didn't include film series like Star Trek, Star Wars,Rambo, Die Hard, Evil Dead series, Back To the Future series, GhostBusters films ,James Bond series, both Tim Burton's Batman films, Friday The 13th films, and the first two Aliens. I like most of the films in these series. Like like most films from the following directors: John Hughes, Quentin Tarantino, Lucas film, James Cameron(minus Avatar), Oliver Stone ,Steven Spielberg, Wes Craven, Martin Scorsese and more . Most of the Marvel films I enjoyed. Lastly most if not all Jackie Chan movies kick ass. His, pre Rush Hour films to me are his best. A Raisin in the Sun - I saw this a few weeks ago. I powerful film. Extremely , well acted. L.A. Confidential Lost Angels: Skid Row Is My Home - A heart breaking documentary, about the poor we ignore, that we could help get back on their feet. Christmas Vacation (All the films in the series) Unforgiven The Quick and the Dead In the Army Now (90s Bliss) Encino Man (90s bliss) Misery Night of the Living Dead The Faculty - This film captures, my generation of high schoolers of the mid to late 90s. Granted, I was a 8th / 9th grader in 1998. I love the 90s :.(. Girl, Interrupted - Classic late 90s film making. Lincoln (2012) Trading Places The Last Boy Scout - An underrated classic early 90s movie. I'm Gonna Git You Sucka In the Name of the Father Crimson Tide The Addams Family Both films Fast Times at Ridgemont High Ransom - I am not a fan of Mel , but this is a pretty good movie. Cape Fear - One of the best remakes of all time. A Day in Black and White - A hard to find late 90s indie film, about racism from all prospective from various races. I loved it, when I first saw it back in the late 90s, and loved it all over again when, I saw it again a few months ago. Outside Providence - Rockstar's Bully made into a movie, sort of. Beetlejuice Last Action Hero - A very underrated Arnold film from the early 90s. One of my favorite action movies. Finding Forrester Antwone Fisher - Life is tough, some people join the military for purpose and stability. This film , shows how you must be strong to survive and move forward and be happy. That's What I Am - A great coming of age movie. More, so for outsiders like myself. My Cousin Vinny - Joe Pesci best performance. I remember back in the early 90s thinking nothing of this film when I saw the commercial. I saw this film for the first time after these years, a few months ago. I am amazed how great this film is. Romy and Michele's High School Reunion - As someone who graduated High School almost 13 years ago , I am great-full to be alive. I've stayed out(never been in trouble) of trouble and done ok with myself, but I have a lot more room for improvement. This film is a reminder be great-full you have friends in real life. Another film that reminds you that the 90s rocked. Executive Decision Tyson - Great Five Element Ninjas - Thanks, El-Ray network True Grit (Both versions) Weird Science - Great film Dark City - Epic late 90s film Hook - Need I say more? Ferris Bueller's Day Off He Got Game - A stand out Spike Lee film. To me, his best. Reindeer Games - Underrated early 2000 film. I high recommend. Carlito's Way Stardust - I saw this film once. I remember, I enjoyed it. Strange Days - Great movie. It Gothic, it is semi hopeful for the future, semi political, and with a lead character you can root for. Storm of the Century - I saw it back in the late 90s. I saw it again around 2 years ago. It was way better than I remember it. One of Stephen King 's best book to film translated works ever! The Boxer - Great film about peace though unconventional means. Camp Nowhere - My 90s dream of going off on an adventure and having lots of fun with kids like me, when I was a kid. 90s kids (People born in the 1980s) will understand. Gangs of New York - Great film Just One of the Guys - Classic 80s film. Not to mention , the best pair of breasts seen on film at the end. The storyline and characters are great! Con Air - Action of the 90s at its best. The Thing Sleepy Hollow - Underrated Tim Burton movie. Passenger 57 - My favorite Wesley Snipes film. Great action from start to finish. New Jack City - A must watch. Assassins Red Dragon (2002) Demolition Man - Great mid 90s action flick. To me it still holds up. The Blob - A great 80s film that holds up today. Phone Booth - Great! Better Off Dead... - Girls fall for the bad boys. Guys fall for girls who treat them like crap or don't care about them. This film is a great message for guys not taking a good look at what he is attracted too. I am guilty of this. I remember a few pretty girls who liked me , but never pursued them. Guys, a female's beauty is also skin deep. Go for what counts. This film is a good example of that. Watch this film. You will understand. Airborne - Great early flick about self confidants and the free spirit of the 90s. Not to mention, one of the most bad ass races comes at the end of the films. The Devil's BackBone race was epic. God, I miss the 90s. The Butterfly Effect - Good movie. Lionheart Timecop - Great action flick. Fight Club - The message of this film still hold true today. Young people and my generation are having trouble finding their place in this "new" world. Technically we are still in a recession, even though things have only gotten slightly better. Snatch - A good film with humor from the UK. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - Amazing film. American History X Drive - Great film Heat - Great film, what a great cast. (500) Days of Summer - A powerful film for us guys. Warm Bodies - I often dislike hipsters and hipster films, but this film is pretty good. Million Dollar Baby Dracula - One of the best vampire films. Hard Candy - I've seen it once, I remember it was pretty good. Ed Wood Planet Terror Take Me Home Tonight - A good message for people who just graduated from college or even trying to muster up the courage to grow. Snakes on a Plane Desperado Universal Soldier - Classic 90s flick. Speed - Classic 90s action flick. Cop Land - Classic underrated film. Must watch. Menace II Society - One of the best films, about the street life. The People Under the Stairs We're the Millers - A film , I wasn't expecting to like, but did. Evil Dead - A remake , that was pretty good. I expected it not to be. I still dislike most reboots. No One Lives A brutal slasher film, that I enjoyed. The Return of the Living Dead - A horror / zombie / comedy film, perfected. Ferris Bueller's Day Off - Classic The Rock - One of two Micheal Bay films , I really like. Bad Teacher - Good fun. American Beauty - Great film The Nightmare Before Christmas - Classic No Country for Old Men Pee-wee's Big Adventure - I never saw the full original film. I saw only a hand full of TV episodes. I enjoyed this film. I loved the dark humor. Cliffhanger The X Files: I Want to Believe - A decent film, but it is depressing. Kick-Ass - The first one was great, but the sequel was lame. Any Given Sunday From Dusk Till Dawn The Matrix Reloaded - Yeah , I liked this film alot. Mortal Kombat - Best video game movie. I'm a huge fan of the video game series. Rambo Silent Hill - I've never played the video games, but I enjoyed this film. Starship Troopers Alien³ - I wasn't as bad , as I thought it would be. The Shining Gladiator Devil's Advocate Alien: Resurrection - I enjoyed it for what it is. Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey - A cheesy early 90s fun film. You have to be a 90s kid to understand. The Matrix South Park: Bigger Longer & Uncut Predator 30 Days of Night Full Metal Jacket - I have mixed feeling about this film. I enjoyed it, but it reminds me the horror war and the seriousness of joining the military. More so basic training , that you have be fit in and don't screw around. Predator 2 - Pretty good sequel. Kung Fu Hustle - Very original action flick. Interview with the Vampire - I'm a huge fan of Kirsten Dunst. A well done film.
