We need user locks on Pegasus vehicles.

Sometimes my vehicle goes away the instant I exit it

Sometimes my vehicle goes away thirty seconds after I exit it

and of course sometimes it doesn't go away after waiting a couple minutes

No we don't. Get good and learn how to not let people take your sh*t.

Git gud scrub.

People that say no are just plain wrong. All Pegasus vehicles should be locked if we choose so.

We're wrong because you say so? You technically don't even own Pegasus vehicles. How do lock what is not yours?

f*ck that...if you arent even aware of youre suroundings enough to first kill all people in close proximity that are coming to you before youre going to youre pegasus vehicle you deserve to get youre sh*t taken away

Best part is, a teammate can throw you out of your own helicopter while your still on the ground. Dafuq? That should never be possible in a team mode...

Happened to me a couple of times. Now if anyone is in my car when I'm on my way to my vehicle during a mission, I kick them out about 50 feet away. Ensures that I get there first.

They should have 'passenger only' locks like PV's.

I love stealing someone's Pegasus vehicle and then turning it on them. It is the biggest insult.

Haha yeah me too!

It's been said before and I'll say it again, users should be allowed to decide who can operate their Pegasus vehicles, same as PV's.

I was in free roam today and someone had a jet, usually I'd run but he had a bounty. I was near LS International, called my Savage, went to get it only for a guy stalking the airport to shoot me and take it. I respawn, hit him with a Stinger RPG and actually text him "get your own heli".

I called another Savage, guy sniped me, took it again and was killed by jet guy seconds later. So I call a third Savage, guy stalks the airport again but I gun him this time beore he's even out of his car.

At this time I finally got my Savage and actually succeeds in bringing the jet down, though I never did get bounty as the guy ditched his burning plane and Stingered me, but at that point I didn't care, I still got the jet and was happy enough with that.

But stuff like this makes you realize others are right. I spent just about 2 million to own a Savage attack heli, why in the world can just any random person just in and fly it without permission? It's stupid and should be fixed.

Hmm..weird. For me if I call a Pegasus vehicle and someone other than me gets there first, the pegasus vehicle disappears and is replaced by a random spawn and I get the "Sorry we couldnt move your vehicle to a suitable location" call from pegasus. Makes stealing the vehicle near impossible, but its annoying when it does the same to friends and crew members.

I've only experienced it with Besra and Hydra, havent tested to see if it still happens with pegasus vehicles that hold more than 1 player.

Because the player bought it (or rented it) using their hard earned cash and is now using it. They should choose whether other people can get in their version of the Pegasus vehicle or not.

For example, people who rent limos for parties and other high profile events dont own the limo. If some random stranger jumps inside on the way to the party, is it right for the people renting it to kick him out? Your logic says no.

No way. Stalking someone to their bitch mobile aka tank and sniping them, then stealing it and killing them with it is one of the most satisfying things in GTAO.

Shooting someone out of their Buzzard only to have it strangely land safely so you can take it and get revenge on them...

Taking someone's hydra or rhino after they've abandoned it because it was smoking and then showing them how much life it really had left...

Going off radar and yanking someone out of their tank...

Don't take these things away. Just be a better player.

Locks no. It's fun stealing them. But what they do need is to stop disappearing after not using it for 5 minutes. That sh*t is annoying. I just want to park it somewhere and return to it later. What they should do is the instant you call Pegasus, the other one cannot be entered anymore and it simply spawns a new vehicle. None of this "Sorry it appeared you weren't going to use it anymore even though you were in the middle of the desert with no other transportation"

People pay a lot of money for shark cards to be able to afford these vehicles, why should some broke ass bum be able to just take them?

I disagree. There should be no locks on any vehicles. Too many restrictions on this game as it is.

Hell no, people are going to dupe your car.

Rockstar should make a minigame out of breaking into locked vehicles. Sort of like hacking into a laptop. Maybe a better lock would be more expensive but harder to break into.

Had this guy try to steal my Hydra the other day. Homing missle'd his azz before he could take off.

Called another one in and proceeded to take off, narrowly missing the same guy who had returned in a car and tried to ram my jet.

I understand your annoyance OP, but to me it's kinda fun to battle people in the airport.

First if you go to pick up your heli why you dont make sure no one is around or follow you?

Your choice to use shark cards. Besides, it's really not hard to avoid getting your Pegasus vehicle stolen.

Go off radar when you're near it, make sure nobody follows you.

I've called my Buzzard in a hundred times while in the middle of a lobby war and have not had it stolen once, because I'm smart enough to make sure nobody is near the drop off before I get close enough to spawn it, and then I go off radar before getting in it.

Really not hard.

+1 on what MichiganMuscle77 said above.

As for me, I'm "Mr. Switzerland" on this one.

From the ownership/access standpoint? Heck yes! It's my chopper--I paid for it not you--and like all PVs in GTAO it should be lockable. It's just that R* has yet to come up with a good way to "deliver the goods" to us in a practical way like small PVs allow. If you want to put a sticky on it, then go ahead and try...

From the insurance standpoint? Heck no! Not up for paying buku bucks for replacing a very expensive vehicle every time it croaks.

Lol. How about no.

We shouldn't be able to lock anything. Considering the amount of crime that we get up to in this game, I find it very strange that if I go up to another player's car my character can't just smash the window and steal the thing. This game isn't called "Grand Theft Auto (except when I lock my car)".

ten-a-penny

In FR? No. Twakners would simply lock their tank and proceed to kill everybody and nobody can steal the tank. BUT following what somebody said, the Peg vehicle should stay locked until you get in it.

In missions, though? A whole different story and only "crazy weird" people would disagree. You should be able to make your Pegasus vehicles Passenger Only for all goodies, until you die. Then the other player can drive/pilot/sail it. I lost count of how many times I tried helping a TEAMMATE by landing close to them so they can get into my Buzzard only to be thrown out of it. And you can't blow it up like in FR.

As much as I enjoy turning turning people's machines against them, it probably should be lockable if PVs are. I don't think PVs shoushould be locked either though, the game isn't called Battlefield: San Andreas, it's called Grand Theft Auto, yet we can kill each other but not steal PVs?

i believe its fine the way it is. why make it complicated(unless it was how people orignally would get the Asea in sp, like a previous post mentioned)

as for personal vehicles, its fine the way it is. besides why would anyone get in a vehicle that can possibly be rigged to blow up. and if that was changed to forever open. expect to find yourself incinerated once the owner comes back.(which would make the car-bombing award the most viral, but unnecessary of them all)

By this logic I can steal your apartment, steal all your cash then steal you guns. Also I can take over your crew then steal your character. Locking Pvs stand, otherwise this game will turn to sh*t.

This game is already sh*t, but why not break into an apartment? Why not drop your gun on death? You already drop money if it isn't banked.

i own no peggy vehicles and i could go either way really. as long as we are talking about armed vehicles and having them locked till you get to them is fine with me, but if they are able to be locked like PV's then there should be a timer also though, so if you let it sit too long without using it. say like if not used within 5mins for example then the next 5mins is is open for anyone to take. after that it just despawns and you have to call up for a new one. seems like this would cover everyones thoughts to a certain extent.

Why do you still play it then?
