Obtaining Platinum Medals (Heists)

Heist Platinum Medals

 

From what I've noticed whilst playing heists is that the player that gets the Platinum (top) medal is usually the player that plays the objective of said set up/ heist raid. So in this sense you can guarantee the platinum medal based on your job within said mission.

 

When the players are on an equal object playing ground I'm presuming the platinum medal goes to the player that performs the best, this is just theory for now.

 

Saying that, here's the current set ups/ heist raid (finale) that I've pretty sure is guaranteed to get you the platinum medal. Only tested a few for now:

 

Fleece Bank

 

1st Setup (Scope Out): Be the driver and drive everywhere

2nd Setup (Kurama): Kill a good amount of enemies and drive the Kuruma.

Heist: Be the driver and not the driller.

 

Humane Labs Raid

 

1st Setup (Key Codes): Be the one to pick up and deliver the codes back at the apartment.

 

2nd Setup (Insurgents): Be the driver of the Insurgent, not the pick up version.

 

3rd Setup (EMP): Pilot and deliver the Hydra to the hanger.

 

4th Setup (Valkyrie): Pilot and deliver the Valkyrie.

 

You might have noticed the recurring theme.

 

I've posted what I'm pretty sure will land you getting the Platinum medal at the end of the mission.

Might fill in the rest some time later.

 

I was wondering about this whilst observing my progress for the Decorated award (Earn 25 platinum medals across Heist Setups and Finales) which also gets you the Mastermind achievement/trophy. I couldn't find a guide for it.

 

The quickest method to get the award/achievement/trophy is to just rinse and repeat the Fleeca Heist with the set up as above.
