If they did 100k lester would take 50k and you'd get that back but only in truth get a 50k bounty. I'm sure of Rockstar did that, that's how they'd set it up.

I love beating the bounties. I will move between lobbies, take the sub out, etc. all I have to do is run time off the clock outside a safe house. I love killing them w motion mines and sticky bombs from a remote / safe location.

 

Some tips:

1. Some lobbies less aggressive than others.

2. Have a chopper handy for quick getaway.

3. Check radar at all times, never under estimate incoming blips.

4. If can take sub beyond shallow water no way they can get u unless swim down. Submerge deep but avoid crush depth at 550 ft.

5. If about be trapped in safe house leave motion mine surprise. Do not step out after they have left. They may have left bomb. Instead pick mission off online jobs like parachute one called Timber. It puts u in Paleto Bay if taking free mode after. Helipad nearby. Close to sub dock too for fly there by chopper.

6. Don't engage them your objective beat bounty / win money.

7. Use HSM / RPG on incoming hunters. Beware of surprises, don't be overconfident, be prepared push panic button (go to gta5) then back to GTA online where u spawn in new lobby in safe house.

8. It takes 48 min realtime outside safe house to beat bounty. If forced to take mission or panic button clock stops but resumes once you back in GTA online off safe house. I have stolen cars during this time, robbed stores, etc.

9. Paleto Bay good place hang during bounty if have house or garage. They have to usually travel long way to get u but always be on lookout bc they can go invisible. The islands off the coast are good - I have shot down incoming choppers but beach snipers can get u. Have y chopper ready to go to another locn, job, or the sub dock.

10. Never under estimate situation. Time closest to bounty time running out can be dangerous if lulled by boredom, easy lobby. GTA online full of unpleasant surprisees even if odds seem really in your favor.

 

 

Problem with all that is you are making it stupid annoying for people to chase you.. So most people won't bother.

 

 

So if you want people to actually chase you.. You have to give them a chance.

I could see bounties that scale with level, or bounties up to $50K, but 100K would be a bit much. In retrospect, having a lobby of bodyguards isn't a bad idea...

hmm, even if it was doubled it would get some abuse. say $20k max bounty and a few friends. easy $100k in what would be basicly a few minutes. takes a little more time but even a $9k bounty can make some decent change in 10 minutes if you bounty spam each other.

Well yes it's futile to chase someone who knows the ropes in beating u. My objective is to run the clock, beat them, and get the money what little of it there is. What they do or not do is up to them. It is less boring if they give chase but if not my job very easy then. I do love high bounties lol.

 

On the other hand I have hunted / killed a lot of bounties and won money plus a trophy bounty hunting.

 

However after playing the game awhile realize many jobs pay better than bounty hunting - jobs I do solo at most difficult level blowup2, it's a Titan of a job, a couple of the taking meth from gangs, etc. last nite log on sell tornado stolen near garage $13k, do Titan, $19k, do blow up 2 $13k. Go steal some more gang cars, shoot down plane w HSM near garage, kill player 2x trying mess w me in my zen, kill some more randoms up to no good wandering too close.

 

I will not attack friends or fellow crew even if they have bounty.

 

I have thought about just riding train let them get me if I can for the entertainment value. I did that one time, jumped off by mistake, trapped in ravine, two guys in chopper came at me, trapped but I shot it down, me 2 them 0.
