Another Bounty Thread

The Game is 2 years old, I have a f*cking 9000 thousand dollar bounty on my name and nobody gives a sh*t, after 2 years I believe there are many rich players out there who don't need that sh*tty 9000.... how about a 100,000 bounty or a 50.000 bounty, would be much more fun being chased by 10 players... with 9000 you can't do anything, in the beginning this was hard money but now its a joke.

 

With a profesional driver like myself u would be chasing me for a hour, I don't think you would do that for a sh*tty 9.000, especially if I'm flying, or in a Armored Kuruma or whatever... even a quick Rooftop Rumble gives you more and wouldn't waste much time chasing me.

Wrong section, and besides players will most likely abuse it especially those 100k bounties. But it be decent though.

It might be people who just don't care about the bounty. I have more than enough money, and I still go hunt down bounties because it's fun.

Fond memories of million dollar bounties!

 

I restarted with my original PSN account so I still need to complete my bounty hunting achievements. Truthfully I have enough money and often times I will give the money itself right back to the person I just killed and msg them letting them know it's all about that achievement.

 

SOme people get really upset that a high level killed them for a small bounty.

Would be cool to see a bounty set as a % of your level.

 

eg.

Level 12 - $1,200 bounty

Level 120 - $12,000 bounty

Level 350 - $35,000 bounty

im a millionaire and i still hunt bounties...

 

heck its my favorite hobby in freeroam, second only to the freeroam battles.

 

while i would love to be able to place and cash in bigger bounties, R* wont do it because people would use that to share wealth.

 

 

still a bit on topic, lately whenever i hunt a bounty it doesnt give me the full amount, only part of it.

 

the other day a guy had a 9k bounty, i kill him and the game only gave 5k. yesterday a guy that was a few blocks from me stole a car and got a 5k npc bounty on him, i hunt him and the game gave me 1k.

A bounty is a great way to keep someone out of passive too

Lol I've got about $18M, everytime I see a bounty, I grab a cop car and chase it down, if they're airborne, I grab a jet.

 

I don't really care what the value of the bounty is, for me, it's a legitimate player kill rather than abusing innocents.

People still chase me even though I get 1K bounties from tight-ass NPCs. I don't mind, gives me something to do in FR.

 

Yesterday some NPC put a 9K bounty on my head for stealing an Ingot! Seriously? You could buy nine more Ingots for that price... apparently the AI in GTA gets butthurt sometimes

Thoughts?

 

 

1.) Not everyone is in the mood for bounty hunting. I myself only bounty hunt when i ride my street bike. When im not in bounty hunter mode i don't attack anyone with a bounty.

 

2.) Some people are busy doing their own thing. OR are simply not hostile.

 

3.) Don't use OP vehicles. That is, If you actually want to have fun and have people chase you. I myself don't waste my time with people in Kurumas or Insurgents that are playing 100% defensive. Its just not fun and simply not worth it. Especially if they are in the air.

I couldn't agree less. I get chased every single time I have a bounty on me, regardless of value. It's one of my favourite things in the game.

 

This sounds to me like a case of assuming it's "always like that" from an isolated incident. Either that or the OP and I are literally playing a different game.

 

I also hunt bounties for fun.

I love beating the bounties. I will move between lobbies, take the sub out, etc. all I have to do is run time off the clock outside a safe house. I love killing them w motion mines and sticky bombs from a remote / safe location.

 

Some tips:

1. Some lobbies less aggressive than others.

2. Have a chopper handy for quick getaway.

3. Check radar at all times, never under estimate incoming blips.

4. If can take sub beyond shallow water no way they can get u unless swim down. Submerge deep but avoid crush depth at 550 ft.

5. If about be trapped in safe house leave motion mine surprise. Do not step out after they have left. They may have left bomb. Instead pick mission off online jobs like parachute one called Timber. It puts u in Paleto Bay if taking free mode after. Helipad nearby. Close to sub dock too for fly there by chopper.

6. Don't engage them your objective beat bounty / win money.

7. Use HSM / RPG on incoming hunters. Beware of surprises, don't be overconfident, be prepared push panic button (go to gta5) then back to GTA online where u spawn in new lobby in safe house.

8. It takes 48 min realtime outside safe house to beat bounty. If forced to take mission or panic button clock stops but resumes once you back in GTA online off safe house. I have stolen cars during this time, robbed stores, etc.

9. Paleto Bay good place hang during bounty if have house or garage. They have to usually travel long way to get u but always be on lookout bc they can go invisible. The islands off the coast are good - I have shot down incoming choppers but beach snipers can get u. Have y chopper ready to go to another locn, job, or the sub dock.

10. Never under estimate situation. Time closest to bounty time running out can be dangerous if lulled by boredom, easy lobby. GTA online full of unpleasant surprisees even if odds seem really in your favor.

I dunno what you're saying OP. People do bother for bounties, even less than 9k (atleast this applies in Free-Aim, dunno if you are playing Auto-Aim)... Every time I see people getting bounties on them in public lobbies, 5 minutes later someone (or me) claims them.

 

It's not all about the amount of money. I like hunting down people for a reason, the payoff is just a bonus.
