I need help/advice from the commuinity...

So i've lost out on GTA$ since the recent update. I've been in contact with R* and their lack of support has floored me.
Maybe i have been naive to think R* actually care about their customers...

Below is my conversation with R* support over the last 8 days. If anybody would take the time to read it and get back to me with any advice on what to do next i would be extremely grateful.

 

ME:

So i've been working hard on the heists and i've got to the final heist. I've done all six setup missions and me and my friends attempted to complete the final heist last night. After a few failed attempts one of my friends lost connection so we were kicked back onto an online map. Feeling miserable and exhausted we decided to call it a night at this point and turned off our consoles.

So today i've come back online. I boot up the disc and was prompted to download the latest update. So i do so, then when the online game boots there's no H in my planning room and lester rings me and congratulates me on completing the "bank job" WTF

So anyway i havent been paid for "completing" the heist and when i ring lester and select replay heist the standard pacific job isn't even on the list! Then i've stepped outside and a notification box pops up saying that i've completed all the heists and that my planning board can be used to replay the heists.

This is so annoying as i've been working hard for the all in order bonus and even if i can replay the bank job i will have to re-do all the setups!
PLEASE help me

I don't think that i worded my original message very well.
What i mean is that the final heist is not even accessible. It seems to be stuck in limbo as the game seems to think i have completed the final heist, yet when i ring Lester to 'replay' the final heist, the standard pacific job isn't an option from that menu.
I've also lost out on the all in order bonus ($1 mil) despite all the work i've put into it. I've reported this problem on GTA forums and a few other users have flagged this problem. I think it's because a friend lost connection mid way through the finale heist and then the following day i downloaded the update. This seems to have caused the problem?

I've also lost the $100,000 spent on launching the heist.

-Go to your Privacy Settings on the Dashboard
-Select “Change Settings”
-Select “Customize”
-Select “Member Content” and ensure this setting is changed to “Everyone”

I must stress that the issues discussed in the above article isn't the same issues i'm experiencing. However i have tried the above steps and it did not fix my problem.
The heist "The Pacific Standard Job" can not even be accessed.

Will Rockstar be reinstating me with the $1,100,000 of in game cash i've lost due to Rockstars fault with the latest update? Let alone the inconvenience caused?

Please reply as soon as possbile as i'm not playing the game incase it causes any further issues and this has been going on for days now.

I will also be grateful if your next reply is more specific to my problem and that you acknowledge the details i'm sending you incase of any misunderstanding.

I did play all heists in order. I was on the very last part of the final mission when this issue accured making it impossible for me to complete the 'all in order' challenge.

I find it unfair that Rockstar would just disregard this! Excuse me but i find that reply nothing short of ignorant and i still dont feel like Rockstar support are dealing with my problem seriously. I don't think it's a good way to treat customers who actually pay for GTA$ with real money like myself. Nor am i happy that i have spent HOURS of gameplay trying to acheive this award and due to some sort of problem at Rockstars end i am now left 'out of pocket' and left feeling that the the time i spent playing GTA online heists was just a waste of my time...

I again pleed that Rockstar either reinstate me with the GTA$ ($1,100,000) or make the 'all in order' challenge acheivable for me. Please take my matter seriously.

That sucks man. Basically you have two choices: you can either keep playing anyway, or you can stop playing and find different games to play that will be less frustrating. They aren't overly concerned with your problems, it seems. If you do decide to stop playing be sure to let them know they will no longer get any business or cash cards from you due to their poor customer service. The least they could've done is given you the 1,100,000, since it is free to them after all and a small price to pay for customer satisfaction. Let us know how it goes.

R* probably get a few hundred tickets exactly like yours every day. Unfortunately you are not more important than anyone else and they see it the same way. Nobody gets a refund for the sh*tty servers. Not you, not me and not johnny boy from number 32.

Yeah they cant just hand out money to anyone that asks for it because "its free". Everyone would be turning their consoles off and disconnecting the interwebs at the slightest sign of a failure then demanding money from R*...

I had a problem like this, I was advised to delete GTA out of my system and all of the updates. Do a fresh install of the game, all updates and it should revert back to normal. This worked for me, hopefully will work for you?

Johnny boy from number 32 was reimbursed fully and given a cash bonus of $1,000,000. He's now on vacation spending his new found wealth.LOL

The best thing to do, is stay Professional as you communicate with them.....that will help you stay out of the sooner or later group.......even when some of the replies you get sound stupid and off the wall and having nothing to do with the issue at hand.....stay professional in your replies......if they decide your an asshole for what ever reason........your screwed with no hope

That's been a well known bug. I heard that you can fix it by having someone else host the Pacific Standard heist. You'll still get the awards and vehicles.

Yeah but I think he is spewing he didnt get the mastermind challenge. Would it still work if they had the same 4 and someone else hosted?

I never bothered R* with any issues I had. I remember when the un-insurance (where your cars lost their insurance on their own) was around, I was gonna sell my Roosevelt as I didn't use it much and needed money to pay for ammo - I was scraping by. Went to sell it but before I reached the LS Customs an idiot friend of a friend blew it up (Invite Only) on accident. Called Mors Mutuals, not picking up. Waited 2 days and still nothing. It was the only time that I was mad at someone who I shouldn't really be mad at cause we're all buddies and all, even if I don't know them. Of course, they had no clue what they did but...sucks. So I lost 400K in less than 4 seconds. Posted on forum, people told me to send a ticket (you can search for the thread if it's still around) but I said that I didn't really care about it. It's still a game and I have other cars to enjoy. What if my character got deleted, though? As much as I love GTA and R*, I would probably stop playing and have a bitter experience from GTA V, to be honest. Also, some people on this forum play this game way too much and moan when there's nothing left to do. I've yet to see the last heist. I'd definitely do the heists again but with a slower pace.

You should have taken screen shots of the payouts with a camera phone. Time and date stamped.

I suggest everyone does this. You need evidence when dealing with R* support.

Take pictures of everything. It's the only way to be sure.

Rockstar/T2 have an ample supply of lawyers. We won't win.

If you didn't spend IRL cash be happy you got a response.

If still unsatisfactory for ta I suggest going to an actual casino and spend money there.

They give real money back when/if you win.

So many people just accept the poor customer service from R* and by doing this you are making it easier for them to do so. If you've been treated unfairly as a customer it's your right to scream and shout (and maybe look abit silly in the process) to get what you want. Remember to accept poor customer service will inevitably lead to more poor customer service.

Honestly, congrats on the reply but I feel that you've bothered them for something so minor. There's much bigger issues that R* have to juggle with; server issues, glitches, modders yet keep the game fresh by releasing some new content. The forum has this idea that R* are just concentrating on new updates without fixing stuff but R* are trying to keep everyone happy while looking at repairing their game and making it better. We're not the same person so we might have acted differently but I would of just let R* know about this problem, if it was possible to "meet in the middle" and if they're a bit busy with things I'd just keep on going, not letting this issue hold me back. Again, glad you got your issue fixed but R* are putting up with a lot of sh*t and being a moaning customer must make R* workers hates us that more. I mean, I would hate to come in every day, sit at my desk and sigh, realizing that all I would do today is tell people that the issue they're having can't be fixed but when they keep moaning about it I'll have to do an exception...for thousands of people. So it's not really an exception. But what if it was a standard policy for R* to give us free in-game money? Money they owed us? As the response said they don't have a way of checking if we completed the heist or not. The solution would be to add a heist stat menu that keeps track of those numbers. But for the moment? R* are just struggling to stay afloat of all the bad comments, keeping "normal" players happy with content, catch glitchers/modders and fix any issues that rises along the way.

 

I would hate my job so much.

In R* level of a company, 3D modeller guys and 2D artists don't work as customer support.

 

If OP's case is minor, then what would be considered as 'major'? GTAV disc grow wings and take his console away to the blue sky?

 

His game progress is stuck and he lost 100k. I don't know what he went through to get that, but it'd be extra bummer if he had purchased Cash Cards.

 

I understand his feeling when he finally lost it at the last day of the unfruitful conversation.

Totally forgot that they all have their own department! Thanks! I mean, I was so busy thinking that each department must be over-flooded with tickets to the point of them asking if I can still play the game as well as specifying if my game froze, if I lost progress (in case of OP; data saved error) or even if my soundtrack code doesn't work! That must mean that they've had so many issues pointed out that they had to include something to specify which f*cking issue the player was having so they can wad through some of the sh*t that some people must send them. For f*ck sakes, I remember a topic on here where someone was confused on which CD to install and Google search completes the following:

So GTA players aren't the smartest and I'm sure they're sending tickets for anything. I love that you cut 90% of my post (but then again it just extended that message portrayed as a R* employer hating his job - f*ck him, though, right? We paid for this game!) but while I may be negative in that post, just a few posts above I said the following (cut it down so you didn't have to read the whole thing):

As much as I love GTA and R*, I would probably stop playing and have a bitter experience from GTA V, to be honest.

If what happened to OP happened to me, I would probably be upset. At the end of the day I realize it's a game. Yes, I paid for it and yes, R* should satisfy their customers by giving fake in-game money as compensation (hint of sarcasm is unintentional, I swear) but to be that invested in a game to the point of giving extra money for in-game currency with a game that's known to have so many bugs is (sorry, OP) plain dumb. I would never buy a cash card (tempted a few times) while there's still so many issues with the game. So while all those "departments" are working on solving player issues and releasing new content, some other department is working on the PC version. As a whole company, don't you think R* are moving just a little too fast? To juggle a PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360? Right, they've got departments.

 

Again, thanks for pointing that out. I'll be sure to tell others about R*'s departments once threads of PC issues start popping up.

 

As said: glad OP's issue got sorted out. I wouldn't give a crap to be honest but seeing how OP had real money invested it caught my attention. So yeah, glad he's fighting for justice when real-world consequences are involved.

So if you only have to do the 5 setup missions again to complete the final heist ....just do it?

 

I found the heists to be super fun and replayable. I've done the final heist and setup missions about 10x now and will continue to. It's also the most efficient way to make money if you have a good team. Even if you don't have a good team, you guys will get better at it each time until it's a breeze.
