punkboy459
I already got all the parts for her rig what it will be Core i7 2600k 3.2ghz (Free CPU from me) 8GB DDR3 Ram Memory ASUS P8Z77 128GB SSD (OS) 1Tb HDD Storage Space 650Watt Energy Saver Antec 900 Black Steel ATX mid tower Case Now I haven't ordered a video card yet because she still has GTX 660 TI SC 3GB model I need your help guys what should she upgrade her video card with her budget is $260 or below or should she stick with GTX 660 for now? I wasn't so sure about GTX 960 because you'd only gained 20% performance over 660 ti and it only has 2gb vram... I kept thought about R9 280X or 290 non x version but I think 280X would be faster than non x version. Anyway help me out what should she upgrade or stay stock? yoječ
R9-290 is definitely better than R9-280X and it's a good buy, if GTX970 is noticeably more expensive where you buy. Although personally I'd wait for the next gen cards. Red Hat

TheMcSame
According to rumors, both AMD and Nvidia are gearing up for HBM. I wouldn't exactly call them rumours... Can't find any meaningful confirmations from AMD's side but apparently some employees confirmed that HBM is coming to the 300 series http://www.kitguru.net/components/graphic-cards/anton-shilov/amd-developers-confirm-radeon-r9-380x-with-hbm-memory/
