The Pacific standard near enough impossible with randoms?

Recommended Posts

We just stopped our bikes when we found the armored Police Riot SWAT van. Two guys in the front, the two guys In the back firing Combat MG to chasing police. Then we drove down the hill and quickly got into the boat

Depends on the randoms tbqh.. I did this heist with some randoms last night and had to replay it over 20 times only for the guy that kept dying to die as he dove off the cliff and didn't deploy his chute. Later on that night I join another random heist and get put into Pacific Standard, everything goes fine the first playthrough but one dude dies in the alleyway, next attempt we passed with no troubles. Only ended up losing 100k from the 1.25 mil we snatched.

Cuz randoms always listen right?

I haven't had issues but I can only speak to my experience.

You must not be very experienced.

Still stuck on Fleeca Job? Don't assume my experience. I have completed every heist and setup with randoms as the leader and crew member. Get some friends to play with instead of being concerned about other people's experience with randoms. Happy Gaming. Just did the mission again. 1,014,097 was the final take

Hey gang, just created a thread with the vids on the "easier" ways to get this done that are in various threads on this. Enjoy; http://gtaforums.com/topic/779365-pacific-standard-finale-escape-easiest-methods-videos/

I wouldn't like to try with randoms. I did the first set up mission with randoms at the weekend. None had a mic and the navigators flat out refused to get in the drivers' cars and instead tried to drive and photograph the vans at the same time. Predictably we failed numerous times because they kept crashing straight into the back of the vans. Ugh, randoms.

It never ceases to amaze me how stupid hosts can be. Like just now, doing a heist and the host has set the difficulty to hard despite the fact that the only high level players are myself and the host, the other two were level 15 and 19. Of course it went to sh*t all the times we tried.

HumanRacehorse

Going back to the original question, yes. 6 hours of restarts and 6 hours of my life I will never get back. Multiple groups of randoms who can't drive, can't shoot, jump off the cliff, don't leave the area in time, can't understand simple directions, etc.

I guess I need more friends!

artisntrealz

People are retarded and don't know how to listen. Tried the karuma and chopper technique but people always f*ck off random ways and die before anything

Why the hell would anybody play on any difficulty than hard?

CaptainMental

Why the hell would anybody play on any difficulty than hard?

Because the others doing the heist are very low level and thus has very little experience. Couldn't you figure that one out for yourself?

I've done plenty of missions on hard with low level players. As long as they're not dumb and know how to take cover, its all good. Playing on any other difficulty than hard is a waste of time imo.

I completed all the setups and heists with randoms. It wasn't in the slightest bit fun and not in the least bit advisable.

It's really just a test of patience for those of us without the time to form online relationships with other players/crews.

R* should have made it so you need to join another players heist to progress further on your own, and paired players up with players of a similar level.

GTAPlayer92

I don't understand why you would play with randoms without messaging me and asking me to play? I never die... And I am sure there are plenty of other people as good or better than me. So really it's your fault for not trying to find good players IMO.

Just finished all heists with one consistent crew member plus 2 randoms. Finished the Pacific heist on first attempt (both me and my crew mate watched videos to prepare) with a lvl 42 first timer and a lvl 113 guy who had played the heist a few times already. We decided ahead of time to use the cop car near the ramp with all 4 players aboard to minimize the risk. No need for an armoured car if the driver is half decent.

On a side note I've been pleasantly surprised by the random players who have joined our heists. Made some new friends and had mostly good times. Sure there was a few idiots who would constantly screw things up bit, but that's why my crew mate and I came up with a lvl cap of minimum 42 for random players.

I joined the finale once, got in with a crew of high levels, went great until we had to face the music.

Near instantly killed by aimbot cop fire, I barely survived the first engagement. Once we reached the alley, all hell broke loose.

Cops swarming, I have but a sliver of health, thankfully, my other partners in crime finally pulled out the big guns and began hosing down every single pig in that alley. Get to the bikes, only to be cut down by the aimbot NOOSE in the chopper. Restart, get to the bikes, I make it to raton canyon, only to be notified that one of my crew members f*cked up and died. After raging for a few seconds, try again only to have the same member die once again. I get on my mic, and tell that f*cker to stick with me. Thankfully, we make it to the boat and make off with a 800000.

Play all day and never pass it.LOL

Managed to get around $1,206,000 with randoms yesterday. That was my very first time completing the finale with the money over the $1.2 million mark.

The real question should be "Has anyone gotten the full take with randoms?".

I haven't got a video but I did the ps finale yesterday with randoms and we finished with full payout.

Just dont invite people under level 70 because they tend to fk up.

Played it 5 times 10/10 a low level always die.

Rank doesn't equal skills

Filtering by rank avoids most of the lemons.

Sure, I've seen plenty of moronic high-levels and am possibly one myself (at 135 as of this post), but the general frequency of these in higher levels is lower than say level 20.

That said, Pac Standard is the one heist that I avoid doing with randoms at all cost. The last time I did it with a friend and two randoms, one of them insisted on being The Lost MC 2.0 and somehow died, even though the cops had glitched out and would not spawn at all.

Sufficiently said, I threatened him with the almighty quit button and $0 payout to make him cooperate.

I've yet to complete it anyone under lvl 100 they always seem to think they know what their doing until they hit a tree or ride the bike into a police car.

I've completed it twice with crew members and had little problems.

You are WRONG....

Rank = exp.

In game experience does not equal player experience.

I did it second try with 4 randoms yesterday. I just used my armoires kuruma and drove straight to the dinghy.

How did you use your PV if I may ask?

After I got the bikes I just drove it straight to my garage, went inside and got a PV of my choice. It didn't say anything about losing your wanted level or getting the cops out of my sight.

This is why I traded in one of my garages for that apartment with the garage entrance right next to the bikes, and stuck my Armored Kuruma in it.

well why dont we rename this thread "Lets Bash a Random"

The problem is not with randoms, but is with 4 individual players who most probably dont speak to each other, or try to communicate

I have played every heist as a Random and what i see over 75% of the time is players of all levels either not wearing a mic or maybe not having one... no communication

and then each player who has played the heist with success thinking everybody is going to do it his or her way, not taking the time to consider there may be more than one way to accomplish the goal,

This is where the heist is failed, not because someone is a random

If you are like me and play as a random, get a mic thurn the damn thing on and speak up ask if anyone else has a mic

If you are the host for gods sake turn your mic on and ask who has a mic, dont expect people to blindly follow a deaf mute into battle

to the ones wearing a mic, speak up like a normal person as say hey guys i have an way to get thru this, hopefully they will hear you thru the tv speakers or pc speakers, and understand your language,

If all else fails and you are one of 4 deaf mutes playing the game, watch and see who seems to be having the best luck between the 4 of you ......dont pick yourself...try to follow one of the others leed and see if the other players take notice, if they are wanting to complete it to and understand team work is paramount, they will, and even what may seem like a f*cked up approach might end up working when you work together

I see enough players in heist who dont have any communication with the people they are inviting in, to know a good part of them are bitching about failing with randoms in this thread

Cuz randoms always listen right?

Randoms do listen, problem is a lot of the time they may not understand your language, and i have been around since day 1, yes there are a few who are f*ckups but most will listen if they understand what your saying

@Grumpy-Bear

You hit the nail right on the head, good post

Rank doesn't mean much in terms of skill, I played PSB Finale last night with a rank 98, 204 and 206. I join the lobby and I assume it's a setup as it was on normal level. Nope these high rankers wanted to play it on normal (should have been my warning). I thought f*ck it, let's make so quick cash for a car purchase.

The next 30 min was the most ridiculous 30 min I have seen in heists.

Firstly both took money then just Leroy Jenkins out of the bank and died, next they do it again and survive but lose about 50k from bank to ally, we lose another 50k on the way to the bikes. Then the money boys get on 1 bike and speed off, me and the 98 rank bike the normal way get to the boat and waiT and wait. Not only did they run out of time, they lost 300k in the process. Next run I take one on my bike but he jumps off half way along and dies. By this time we are down to $550k cap, still 110k so I try 1 more time, and take a money man on my bike. We make the jump and he doesn't open the chute and dies. I cut my loses and quit.

The 2 200 ranked players were utter rubbish, probably the worst players I have ever seen and now I always look for mics over ranks because if everyone knows what's happening you can get through with a certain amount of ease

Cba to read. If this is bitch & moan you don't need a new topic for it. If it's a legit question, then:

YES! Stop doing heists with randoms, they were never intended to be done with randoms. Make some actual friends in the game, and then do the heists with them. If you havent notice by now, randoms in this game will mess up pretty much ANYTHING you're trying to do. And heists is one of the more complicated things to do, don't expect randoms to suddenly be any better when doing heists. Lay off that auto-invite, and make some friends... Try socializing instead of killing and insulting anything in sight.
