And that's one of the first links...

Its all about googleing my friend.

If it were me, I'd buy the 290 Watercooled. It means less heat for the rest of your components and less heat for the GPU itself. Me likey

I would get an Nvidia card instead :)

Looking at the 290 price, get a gtx 970 instead.

Not enough ram. 4gb for $250 >>> 3.5gb for $330

Nvidea is overpriced junk

The 970 did a pretty good job of beating the R290/R290X in this benchmark video, its not a huge difference but the lower power consumption and newer technology/features make it well worth a look. AMD GPU's are good at some price points and for some people make sense for the budget conscious but when people want lower temperatures/power consumption and performance is their number one priority Nvidia is often the best choice even if they do come at a premium price.

Saying that Nvidia cards are overpriced junk just makes you look like an ignorant AMD fanboy.

And you are a dumb AMD boi who can't spell right. It's nVidia, not Nvidea.

Overpriced junk? Did you throw your GTX970 out of the window because it reached 3.5GB?

OT. Because of 290 being damn hot, the watercooling solution would be the best.

Unless 290 is cheaper than 970 by like 50 bucks.. go with 290.. if not go with 970. Even with that humiliating ram issue its still a decent card. it suffers badly when it reaches the ram barrier. Even if framerate is fine it stutters like hell. So get cheapest 980 instead if u can save cash for a few weeks.

Yeah it's total trash, all the ones defending Nvidia just won't admit they were screwed over.

I've had a Nvidia myself recently and occasionally switch between vendors, but this was just a BS move.

Iv had my 970 for a little while now and all tho I agree 100% that nvidia f***ed everyone over with the vram setup,But I have not found a game yet! that is affected by it. I'v played games like Far Cry 4, Shadow Of Mordor, Batman Arkahm Games, Crysis 3 and all run with out stuttering (that is not the fault of lazy optimizing/porting) If you are trying to game at 4K on a card that is not designed to then don't get upset when it stutters due to being pushed past its limits.
