Worst GTA ,missions

Recommended Posts

F*cking Freefall or whatever that mission in SA is called. Wasted so much time on it. Every playthrough I do, once I get to it, I get pissed at it and stop playing San Andreas. Just that one mission.

Espresso-2-Go! brings back the memories of frustration. I had the same problem with the bank robbing one in GTA IV, kept dying over and over until I gave up. Both missions stopped my progress on the first playthroughs, but when I played the game the second time, years later I breezed through them with ease. You simply have to be a skilled gamer go get past those, you don`t get there overnite.

Supply Lines. Enough said.

This mission is considerably toned down on the 360 HD version of SA. The fuel gauge depletes at a much slower rate. A walk in the park compared to the SA original.

I didn't know that they adjusted the depletion of it for the X360 version. SA original (Xbox and PC versions I played) was hell indeed.

Fortunately, I discovered and downloaded Spaceeinsteins All In One Mod V3.0 which made the nessasary corrections to the PC version. :)

I never had a problem with it on PC. I don't know how difficult it is on the other versions since I've only played it on PC.

Supply Lines also gets a bit easier when played with Joystick rather than keyboard. I remembered that it took me around 30-35 tries to clear it with keyboard.

Once I did it, My reaction was better than below.

Even New Model Army made me Cry. :(

i don't get you guys, i complete it everytime on pc with keyboard on first try.

Same here. I grew up playing PC, so maybe I'm just more accustomed to it.

on PC without a joypad it's a pain in the ass.

This. It's annoying to play that game without one.

Mine is probably gonna have to be Supply Lines and Air Raid both on PS2, because you can't edit the sensitivity on ps2, not sure how my brother plays it on high. On PC and original Xbox, it was easy.

My other one is going to be that one mission where you destroy the "Punk Noodle's" stands on 3.

EDIT: "Bored Killed" said it, Espresso-2-Go.

I agree wholeheartedly with Supply Lines being the worst mission. It took me days of on and off attempts to complete the mission on PS2. It was a breeze on PC though (I think I did it first time).

but when it’s five straight minutes of trying to get across the country knowing the in-game physics are one pebble away from launching you down a ravine and into a restart screen – this was just overkill.

"Restart screen."

RESTART SCREEN?

RESTART SCREEN????"!£$"!!??!?!!!

Only cowards use the restart screen, if you don't load the re-load savegame and try again you forfeit the right to complain about the mission's difficulty.

except for Snow Storm

nah, he's right. the first half of the mission was cool, and the story around it was like wham! but f*ck that hospital dark maze and those run-up-and-f*ck-ya-when-your-at-half-health cops too. I'm convinced the only way to win is to zip out and run before the cops get situated.

Y’know what no one has ever said in the history of mankind? “Boy, I’d sure love some stealth sections in my GTA”

oh wait f*ck this guy.

more good candidates that weren't mentioned include the ketchup missions.

- Stowaway

- Freefall

- The boat portion of the deal ending

- ... Blog this!

Photo Opportunity:

Player is forced to drive the Savannah through the endless roads of the countryside only to take a few pictures, which are useless.

Also dislike any tailing missions, I'd much prefer stealth missions instead.

That mission where Johnny kidnaps Roman shouldn't exist, because it doesn't challenge the player at all. Dialogue wasn't funny, either.

Nowhere near as boring or pointless as Zero missions, of course.

PS2 version is harder because the fuel runs out faster.

Boomshine Blowout, even though its pretty easy once you've practised it.

Jive Drive because its basically Phntom Pehn '86 with sh*tty analogue controls and then you have to protect Lance and get him to the hotel.

Snail Trail and Photo Opportunity are stupidly easy missions that leave you stranded away from the rest of the missions.

Wrong Side of the Tracks without knowing the secret to doing it easily, for the same reasons as above

The Driver (VC) was ridiculously hard

There's a lot of missions in GTA 3 that just feel like a boring hard chore

Marked Man was just a stupid idea for a mission. It basically combines all the hard things of GTA: long, hard, timer, boring, leaves you stranded if you die, requires good RNG.

I really don't get the difficulty behind "the driver"...maybe in the original ps2 version (the one I always play) it was easier? I don't know, but really there are so many ways to win, including just following him before cutting the last corner, winning the race.

Demolition man is hard the first time. once you figure out to start from the TOP floor, it's a cakewalk

Snow storm...I really don't remember my first playtrought, but the second time I played I had no problem. it was a tense and somewhat annoying mission, but nothing impossible

on the other hand...i've never passed "death row" in the right way. Helicopter, tank, indestructible car (not a cheat, just a rare veichle i had)... everything but the "proper" way.

If you save Phil Cassidy's bulletproof Barracks OL after "Arms Shortage", you can use that to easily cross the bridge and beat the timer by a full minute.

Espresso 2 Go was awful, just like the original Supply Lines. The Driver was kinda tricky too ...

But, if I'd to pick one mission I found particularly hard, it'd be the one where you have to rescue Cam Jones from the Police Station in Vice City (don't know its name in English). During my last playthrough, this mission almost gave me headache ... Thankfully, the police station is very close to the Malibu Club, so you don't waste too much time driving there every time you replay the mission.

Not sure if it's only me, but I found this mission to be extremely easy on the PS2. In fact, I completed it at the first attempt, but since I have the GTA: The Trilogy edition, which came out in 2009 in Europe (2005 in North America), I think it has been toned down in this version, too - although I'm not sure about it. On the other hand though, "Air Raid" was a pain in the ass. My favourite Zero mission was "New Model Army", what a brilliant mission! It reminded me of the Army Men: Air Attack game on the PS1, which I really loved as a kid. The mission I hated the most in the whole GTA series was "Paramedic" in GTAIII, it was next to impossible even through the large streets of Staunton Island. The Ambulance was tremendously hard to handle, but I can understand that as it was DMA Design's first attempt at an Open-World game in a 3D environment if we don't count Body Harvest. Other missions that frustrated me were "Kickstart" (GTA: San Andreas) and "Scrapyard Challenge" (GTA: Liberty City Stories). I liked the concept of these side-missions, they weren't that hard, and I actually hope to see them in future GTA games, but what I found frustrating was the (optional) highest score to achieve: 61 and 40 points, respectively. However, I don't think these missions are the worst, they just frustrated me so much that I then hated them.
