southparkmayor
This is a common issue with game developers where they release the requirements but dont give a definite idea of performance levels at certain settings. what settings and performance does each give. Imo Minimum: 720p 30fps low-medium settings. Recommended 1080p ultra 60 fps podyx

Lexus.V
usually it's for 1080p & low settings, 25-30fps but we all know Rockstar is different... so maybe it is 720p & low settings 20fps... Recommended is for all max settings in 30fps Edited March 21, 2015 by Lexus.V

Barrett_killz
If they're talking about 4K so much, maybe, JUST MAYBE the recommended requirements are for running the game in 4K 30FPS? Sounds ridiculous, but still.
ARC8_1982
One should feel comfortable only if close to recommended or exceeds those, minimum is probably for starting the game, without any guaratee it will work ok, im still expecting they're going update them in one of the articles ( PC trailer, video editor news) if there's no further polishing that is ... ha ha ! Lets face it, to play the game in 4k you'll need high end monster computer (very very expensive). Minimum - everything on low - low fps Recommended - medium to high, 35 - 50 fps Max settings - any high end computer, for a long time i lived in denial, now i realize, that this game is going to be very demanding, maybe the most demanding until Witcher : Wild Hunt, who knows. If they paid more attention to the PC instead of childish articles regarding online, snapmatic crap and whatnot, we would know more for sure ! Trevor Phillips rocks ! Streifenkarl
Would Max payne 3's requirements be a good place to start and get an idea of this? No it wouldn't, cause in MP3 you don't drive fast through an big open world with constant texture streaming, hundereds of pedestrians, traffic etc. MP3 has closed levels. Recommened requirements aren't for ultra settings, because thats what ultra requirements would be for.

poland stronk
That's what's wrong with game industry: developers don't say what you need to play the game on certain settings. Even better, they don't give a sh*t about optimazation and the requirements are nothing more than advertisments for certain parts (in example, devs say you need certain AMD CPU but Intel equivalent is much stronger and more expensive, that's present also in GTA V requirements). Who else if not a retard released those requirements if he could write "for 30fps 1080p". Seriously, is it that hard to include this simple sentence? And then people get pissed because for PC it was (or is) standard to play in 60fps in at least HD and the specs are plain bullsh*t. Shorty_F
Minimum - everything on low - low fps Recommended - medium to high, 35 - 50 fps This is it ! Do not expect to max out the game (= 1080p, ultra, 60 FPS) with the recommended rig, else you'll for sure get disapointed ! Moreover, while giving their minimum and recommended specs, they also said it could be updated later. So get prepared for this update, because of course it will be updated (to much higher rigs) ! NYPD.ESU.55
I hope recommended is for 1080p maxed at 60 fps. I can run AC:Rogue at 1080p all maxed out with AA at constant 60FPS without drops. GTX680 2GB, 8GB DDR3, FX-8350. So I hope it will be enough for the same settings in GTA V. Koger
Minimum settings will probably be for low-medium settings at 720p/1080p 30 fps. Recommended settings would run the game at maximum settings 720p/1080p at 30 fps.
