Map textures fix

Fixed. Had to lower the defaut draw distance to see it :p

The texture it's referencing is non-LOD texture so yeah that's why it was missing. It also uses mipmaps so I'll look if they can be readded though I doubt it'd be practical.

Did you get where is the location?

There is actually some LOD sh*t on it, not a texture problem (At least building on right)

Edit:

yup by removing this it should be fixed:

3301, lod_conhoos5, 0, 2502.328125, -1068.296875, 71.015625, 0, 0, 0, 1, -1 in LAhills.ipl

Edit2: Got crash with that let's move it a bit down ;)

Edit3: I changed that line to this 3301, lod_conhoos5, 0, 2502.328125, -1068.296875, 11.0156, 0, 0, 0, 1, -1 and it works (I put house under ground :D)

I think I know whats happening in there, the LOD home is mixed with the higher quality one

I'm using some custome map files with fixes in modloader folder and when I remove that line from them it crash on loading screen .-.

NEVER, NEVER, PLEASE, NEVER DELETE A IPL ENTRY. IT WILL BREAK SAVED GAMES.

 

If you need to remove a entry, set the z position to -300, so it will appear under the map.

When I was in a pretty bad computer I simplified the map by deleting a bunch of objects from map (my first mod LOL) and I have never breaked a save game :sly:

I also did that in Gostown paradise and the same

 

The objects that you can't delete are dose ones that are changed by SCM during storyline

 

 

Anyway back in the track, HOW THE HELL I WILL FIX THIS CRAZY LODS?

That's difficult but maybe possible with wrap option in photoshop or you take help from flame.

Edit:Can you fix this LOD model,it has no texture

I don't use paid progs like photoshop, this is just a hobby for me

 

And I will look at that LOD

 

EDIT: It has texture but is really bad, and the extra compresion of the original textures doesn't help

 

EDIT2: It also has a bad prelight so I can't fix it

Do you mean Binary IPLs? I only know this tool.

i decompile it and edit it but this tool doesn't compile it again,it shows some errors.I think El dorado know about this,he added some new parked cars in binaryipls a time ago.

That was the tool I used, by ocram. Are you trying to edit a binary IPL?

 

1 - Open your binary ipl on the tool (File > Open)

2 - Save your binary ipl as a regular ipl, name it edit.ipl or something (File > Save)

3 - Do your edits on the saved ipl

4 - On the tool, Extra > Converter: IPL to Binary-IPL, select the edit.ipl you saved, and save it as a binary IPL, now you must enter the correct name for the binary ipl (Lae2_stream0 for example)

that exactly what i do,but when i select ipl to convert to binaryipl it shows error"1460,15625 is not valid floating point value" although it is right

and someone try this to fix this bug

1)open lahills_stream1.ipl

2)find id 3284 and change last digit 355 to 341

3)save and check in game

tell me if it works

kind of off topic but what settings did you use for mobile speculars in the op screens?

But what do you mean? "my txdworkshop version is old"(means that I need to update to a latest) or "txdworkshop is old software"(means that I need to use another tool)?

There's no actual tool for opening this TXDs, if you want to change something download the source and compile it yourself ;)

I think the source of inspiration for the PC version of this bike was... cow!
