I don't really know if I will ever end this project, I'm doing some progress but think about this, the San Andreas definitive edition for PC after more than ten years of it's launch, it's kind of useless.

I'm not saying that everyone should stop right now every project for 3D era GTA, it's a great game, I will always have a copy of it in my HDD, but I don't have the personal motivation to continue with this as I did before.

There's the "dev" version if someone wants to enhance, improve or whatever you want to do with it, it's free, it's easy, if someone wants my assets I can post them here, go and play with them, just put a link referring this topic as the old outdated version were all started.

 

I didn't want to write this but I know some of you might be waiting for the latest release and you don't deserve to be waiting for nothing.

Thanks to all the community for the support that you have given to me, to all the people that likes and uses my mods and to GTAForums for being the most alive and fun forums that I know.

 

Antoher cool open world games that I want to mod, but probably never will:

-GTA V

-Watch_Dogs

-Sleeping Dogs

-The Crew (imposible due to their DRM)

-NFS World (I know it's now offline)

I just want this: Your current v3.0Final + new fences & trees (mix of mobile+pc as you had said before)

No anything needed more, just mix all of these so I'm very happy :)

I noticed the signs in Jizzy's club had no alpha, but when I tried to fix it this weird thing happened, depending on the camera angle the transparent areas of the texture disappears.

 

It seems the illuminati enjoy hanging out in this club:

EDIT: Nevermind, FIXED IT!

 

Go to int_SF.ide and change this line:

 

From This

14539, pdomes_logo, pdomes_logo, 100, 0

To This

14539, pdomes_logo, pdomes_logo, 100, 4

The object didn't have the transparency flag.

To fix the messed up alpha (look at the stairs behind the lights on the pic, they are being rendered on top of them)

 

Go to data/maps/interior/propext.ide

 

And change this line from this:

To this:

But seems this doesn't fix fully: in different camera angle the alpha bug appears again. (sorry, no pic but you can understand what)

Yeah that's for Jizzy's Club, the link in the OP is now the same link I uploaded today, just replace all the files and you should be good to go.

 

The source is no longer included beacuse Magic.TXD already opens the TXD files.

 

EDIT: Well sh*t now I know what you mean, I forgot to include "CJ_DFext.txd', it's fixed now. Redownload.

one more thing i just noticed is..

  • in pc pleas_dome.txd there is a texture named ws_volumetriclight but it doesn't have ab_circles texture
  • im using PS2 converted/fixed DFFs (broken on PC) from here... pleas_dome.txd from this doesn't have ws_volumetriclight but it does have ab_circles and additionally ab_volumelight..
  • in ur fixed gradients pleas_dome.txd it doesn't have ab_volumelight but it have ab_circles and ws_volumetriclight light..

so which one should i use....

Lol, I had no idea, that explains why my light beams looked different from everyone else :p

 

Added the "ab_volumelight" texture, the .txd is now fully compatible with both PC and PS2 DFF's. Same dropbox link.

when I install this, nothing happens. nothing changes. It's like game is using a different gta3.img than one I install this mod to. I use IMGFactory and It confirms files are replaced. Then I press rebuild archive and nothing changes in-game.

They are vanilla(ish) textures so they don't really stand out a lot. Just look at the canopies in LS, if they are white (no texture) you didn't install this correctly, if they have a green texture the mod works.

I found the problem lol. For some reason when I edit the img file when it's in /models folder, it does not replace anything in it. probably due to some sort of file protection. I copied them to desktop then edited them and it worked. hope this helps to anybody with same problem.

OMG the PC release of San Andreas is full of texture bugs and incosistencies, and that's the point of this mod, fixing those texture and unifying the style of them.

 

No more rare PS2 textures on PC

No more unfitting textures or colors

Re-added some textures that were better on PS2 (ex: SF smoking guy)

Completelly redone texture and txd files that were copy-pasted from PS2 LOL

As all my texture mods completelly mip-mapped and compressed ;)

The files that overlap with SA Vegetation Original Quality have got the vegetation textures merged into the new *.txd-s

NEW Some vehicle textures have been fixed and/or improved

 

Some examples:

EXCLUSIVE San Fierro smoking guy: PC quality + PS2 colors

Basically R* originally used DXT compression for these textures, wich completely screwed up the gradients, so I made new ones from scratch.

 

They are uncompressed since any compression method I've tried breaks the smooth effect, I didn't fix all of them yet.

 

UPDATED: I remade the gradients again :p, now they look a bit smoother and with a higher res (512x512). (Pics are old ones)

 

I think this is all of them fixed, if I missed anything let me know.

And yes the HD bubbles in Jizzy's club are included (.txd only), the .dff can be downloaded from this thread.

 

As seen in the game and in your own screenshots, the gym bike has wrong textures somehow. Could you, please, fix that?
