Now that heists are done, where should GTAO go from here?

How should GTA online move forward now that heists have arrived? There's recent evidence for a gambling update. The casino is long overdue, and it would be fun. If you read my motto. you'll see I'm still hoping for new houses (normal ones in paleto bay and mirror park/ east vinewood, mansions in rockford hills/ richman/ vinewood, and hood houses in south and east los santos) which would be pointless without bigger new interiors. New interiors should also be added to replace the tiny apartment interiors used in the houses that came with the 4th of July update. Or, we could just customize our own interiors.

Liberty City is an option in the poll, if you know anything about game design, feel free to comment on how easy/ hard it would be to add the GTA IV map to the game. Could it be as simple as modifying and importing a bunch of game files, or would R* have to rebuild it from the ground up?

Op 4got CnC..

Moar hists.

Where it should really go is sort it's sh*t out tbh. There's so much potential & so much that nearly works but is undermined by poor decisions/execution (the matchmaking being the obv issue at present).

After they get it perfect then cater to the dullards who want to role play/play it like the sims w/decorating their homes - tbh I'm surprised they haven't done this already as they'd be able to monetise the sh*t out of that stuff & those kind of people. Or do something good like drug dealing proper gang wars etc.

If Liberty City was added, I'd have an orgasm.

And really, it shouldn't be that hard for Rockstar. Tweak the entire map, make it look like 2013 and that should be it.

I wouldn't mind either if Rockstar charged a few dollars for this bonus content.

1,3,4,5 are the things i voted for :p (every heist and setups is worth 10 contact missions in my opinion)

personaly though i realy want a high roller update with more content exclusive for the levels beyond 150, preferably with also sh*t for people beyond rank 600 so i have something to look out to :) (did all heists and set ups already, the new feeling is already gone, yet if there was something unlocked ever 50 levels till rank 1000 im gonna be ocupied for quite a time :) )

eidt: i think they rather shoud add more things to the current map then concentrating on a total new one, in the end it it woud be just the same sh*t all over, posebly with more wall breaches and bugs and even more emptyness

uh i'd like more focus on events in free roam perhaps then it wouldn't be one big FFA. maybe the ability to go to like a tennis court an spectate players who are playing tennis as like an audience member or something. perhaps more activities like bowling , perhaps characters could go to bars an have drinking contests or something .

i'm sure more heists are probably already planned. along with the other stuff. the only thing i haven't seen mentioned is having more things to do in the free roam portion of th egame. given that theres only so much to explore.

Personally, I really liked what they did with this update. Instead of the usual update then everyone buying up everything you had people COOPERATE for a change to earn the right to buy exclusive content. I hope they keep on delivering updates similar to this. Also, it wasn't a giant change but the added stuff to free roam was okay and I'll gladly see them add more later.

I remembered reading about it before GTAO came out but in an interview they stated:

"We're just going to add on new things to it, new places all the time. We've set this up so there are no limitations," he said. "The only limitation is the size of the disc and how much memory we've got. We could, if we wanted, simulate the entire world, different countries, whatever. Whether we do that or not... But we've got a bunch of old stuff that we're toying with using."

So it does seem entirely possible for them to bring back old GTA locations like Liberty City. Guess we will just have to wait and see!

The last one is cool, but it seems very far-fetched... and I can only imagine how long we would have to wait to get that

You're going to have to wait til after they release the next game in series.

Lazy money is on either GTAV: Los Santos Stories or GTAV: Liberty City Stories since both have significant legwork done.

The engine is already built and running, and runs on both console gens and PC.

Because of this, regardless of how played out Liberty City is, I suspect that's next on the agenda. And when it happens you'll get a brand new character slot to open up out of your 5 and you'll be off to east coast hyjinx.

I'm still holding out hope for GTA IV: Vice City.
