Rockstar call it a heist so it's a heist but it certainly doesn't feel like one. Feels more like a Trevor mission playlist.

Still, it's entertaining enough and these are still early days for heists. Hopefully there will be more released later which are more complex and improve on what has just been released.

I think Series A is there to give us more insight on Trevor and is a mini-prequel to his single player story. I admit I didn't pay much attention to the cutscenes until the finale where Trevor had a breakdown (and likely repressed his memory of the whole thing). It does show how he got his meth lab up and running, and I'm sure there's more in there somewhere.

Also, Trevor's not known for thinking out his heists too well, just look at how his Merryweather heist turned out.

This.

Not that I have a problem with it per say, but most certainly Flecca/Pacific Bank are the only Heist, Heists.

Edit: The Set-Up Missions basically have the level of sophistication that R* would have put into the original Contact Missions had them bothered to not just make them clones of each other so they could be designed much more quickly (with exceptions to the existing Multi-part Contact Missions).

People were imagining bank heists but R* just said we were getting heists. The heist trailer even shows the new chopper attacking some trucks and stealing the hydra. It's like GTA players have this image in their head and once we get the new stuff we're all confused because it wasn't how we imagined it.

Can't wait to see what we imagine next and be disappointed by not getting it as we imagined it.

*edit*
Great thread, OP. You deserve an award.

Lol how many banks do you think there are on this island?

Of course heists are more than just stealing from banks.

Criminal organizations could be considered an 'institution' too :p and they all had potential of 'large hauls of loot' though..

I like how everything we stole..was worth way more than we got paid.

the Hydra an other fighter jets we stole each Jet was worth atleast 1 billion$. the Armoured vehicles would probably be worth atleast 10m. the helicopter would probably be in reality worth atleast 30m or so.
