Stuck as Trevor after Mr. Phillips Mission (PS3)

So for the last week I have been stuck only able to play as Trevor after completing the Mr. Phillips mission. I have been looking around online and this seems to be a somewhat common glitch.

 

Here is what i have tried so far:

 

1. Save game to new slot, restart PS3 load new slot, kill myself, go back to trevors trailer and sleep.

2. Played for 6-8 hours after this mission, actual hours of gameplay.

3. Replayed the Mr. Phillips mission a few times (should I go back and do the heist again?)

4. Called Ron (He's at my house smoking crack 24/7 now) but it goes to voicemail. Same with Wade.

 

I do not have any game save slots prior to this mission.

 

I am starting to get frustrated, I know the next missions should be the Chinese, but nothing is coming up on my map. I can't switch to Michael or Franklin because they're laying low.

 

What are my options? Do I need to restart the game all over?

The only thing I can think of is going into GTA:Online, switching to the other online slot, messing around for a bit then switching back to Single Player.

I tried that as well, I spent several hours switching back and forth, playing online, playing story, etc. been over a week, so I decided to delete my game saves and start over, bummer.

I've said this a thousand times but once more won't hurt

 

 

I do urge everyone on here to NOT rely on the autosave feature (turn it off)-- it would be a good idea to utilize multiple save slots (I use 3) during your play through and rotate manual saves between the 3 most recent slots-- then every 5% or so--- create a new slot and let one of them that you have been rotating move on down the list of saves--- the purpose of this is if you encounter a bug where a mission is missing or you have to go back to redo something-- you will have a save to go back to.

I barely got to 13% before this so I am not too worried about starting over. I am keeping 5 slots now for saves just to be save, probably overkill.

I did a bunch of air and ground trafficking missions while trying to switch to Michael or Franklin and nothing seemed to work for me either. Went back to the Trevor's trailer and there was some dialogue with someone and he finds out that Michael is alive and the game progresses again. Xbox one.
