How to join heist

Hi, probably stupid question so sorry in advance.

I've been trying to complete the prison break heist for a few nights now. I want to do them all in order, i just need to do the fourth setup mission.

How do i choose to do that one specifically? I have completed the others through answering invites so i need an invite to 'wet work'. can i look somewhere for invites? i see so many people struggling to host, i'd happily jump in!!

do i just have to sit and wait? that can't be right?

i'm an old man so i only get to play xbox for about an hour in the evenings after work. can't waste all this time sitting here...

You have to host (and succeed) them to get a choice. Being a random only gets you vehicles and possibly outfits.

You need to host to save those steps. Youre sol.

 

You need to join randomly until youre lucky or find a friend whos on wet work.

What you can do is just drive around in free roam until something pops up inviting people for say Wet Work.

BTW, to join a heist, you press up on the d-pad, then left on the d-pad, press "A" and then "A" again and it'll put you on call.

I'm on xbox360. I know you can go on call but can you be on call for a specific heist? i'm trying to do them in the correct order so don't want to just jump into a random heist.

I can't help but think this game is a little broke?

I guess I'll have to start hosting - seems crazy there must be thousands of people out there trying to host wet work and I'm more than willing to join!

I can't believe all of the people on here crying about matchmaking, long wait times etc......

 

Heists are a friends and crew thing, but don't worry, the longer Heists are out the more players will complete all of them and then the real trolling will start...

I guess that's fair, I've made a couple of friends online, people who have added me after playing a couple of missions. This is the first game I've ever really put any time into online play. I literally don't know a single person in real life with an Xbox though! Except my friends son but he's about 9 and doesn't play GTA... Haha.
