So and so took the easy way out....when actually they were run over by an npc, fell off a building, got shot by the cops, screwed up throwing a grenade, set themselves on fire by mistake, etc

It's to get full health and no wanted level. I suspect for some people it's to respawn elsewhere as well, when they're in the middle of a "battle".

 

But if they respawn next to the battle and shoot again. They are right back in the same situation. You can't avoid the cops in free roam unless you actually avoid them.

 

Cops and free roam come hand in hand.

 

It's meant to be some way to get an advantage within that battle though. They're not using it to run away. If you and I shoot each other until one of us dies (let's say I die), then I respawn with full health and (let's assume no snack or armour are available to you) I have an advantage. If you kill yourself then you get full health and respawn somewhere else, removing the only advantage I may have of knowing exactly where you are, and I don't mean "a blip on the map", I mean "in that corner behind the bush" or "taking cover on that roof".

 

It's a tactic - some people employ it. Some don't.

 

 

So basically they are too stupid to heal, use armor or avoid cops. They cant handle it and need to take the bitch route constantly.

 

Well, im glad that most people are not like this. Could only imagine these guys fighting each other. The kill feed would be filled with suicides.

I can chop a guy with an axe 3 times and he won`t die. But one pistol whip and its lights out. Take it up with R* i guess, this has been brought up a million of times and they ignore it.
