Using this strategy has nothing to do with player skill & that's the distinction you & players like Hulio fail to understand. Whether a player uses this strategy or not, doesn't take away from the fact that they are a better player than you.

 

 

I don't think you understand that i do understand.

 

 

But the fact is, If someone is blowing their brains out every 5 seconds they are not better at anything other then, blowing their brains out every 5 seconds.

 

 

Now you say you don't use this often.. Hence, this topic is not about you. Its one thing to use it every once in a while.

 

Im talking about Suicide drama queens. So if you are not offing yourself every 5 seconds, you are not a SDG.

 

 

I've been owned by great players. Who don't take the easy way out. Stay alive.. keep killing me while avoiding the cops. A true free roam warrior.

 

Compared to what? Some kiddie who's sacred to die, protecting their worthless KD ratio. Who off themselves everytime after they shoot a few times because.... they SUCK.

 

Im not about to compare a great player to garbage. Thats a slap in the face to people who truly own my ass without taking the easy way out every 5 seconds.

 

A truly good free roam player ain't going down with out a fight and will push on and survive or die trying. Any ninny can off them selves after shooting a few times.

In OPs scenario, both players are still just staring at a screen while doing nothing. However, the asshole following around the suicider is really not doing anything. Aka "the LOSER".

 

The fact OP couldn't just move on and attempt to be a badass to someone else is the really pathetic move.

I've encountered plenty of players (like yourself) that take the easy way out continually to keep from losing a gunfight. I either kill them faster or I wait until they respawn and/or regroup, adjust my attack and go at them again.

you still don't seem to understand, at no point did I say I use this all the time or to get kills, there are two reasons I use this strategy, one is for cops, the other is to avoid sniper spawn kills.

If they are suiciding to get health back, that means they've already killed you in the 1 on 1 scenario, so how does it make them cheap, they have clearly already bettered you.

 

Apparently, there's a lot of miscommunication/misunderstanding going on here. The OP described a player that killed himself 20 times for 3 kills. I've encountered players that off'd themselves when I cornered them or had them ass-out. That's cheap. That's the player I'm talking about. A skilled player, by my definition, wouldn't need to off themselves in an effort to not get killed by their opponent. A skilled player wouldn't get himself/herself in a position where they needed to, or if they did, they'd fight their way out of it. Anyone that argues that, well... Welcome to GTAO.

 

Suiciding to get the cops off you or to escape a sniper that's got you pinned down (though I wouldn't give a sniper the satisfaction) is a moderately legit tactic. But suiciding to get my health back after killing someone? Never done it. The half a life bar the game gives back when I'm near death is sufficient (if I'm out of snacks/vests); it makes the subsequent encounter that much more intense. Again, I'm not knocking you personally; to each his own. I just find the tactic cheap. Not unfair or against the rules or worth whining about... just cheap.

What I meant was it's used to avoid a cheap kill such as respawn kills or kills where you are disadvantage (Less health, no Snacks etc)

It's clear that you're not going to get an actual fight out of him, and I'm assuming that you don't cruise Los Santos looking for people who are offing themselves. So, you go and find someone who fights the way *you* want to fight and get on with it. Leave players that you're not compatible with alone. It doesn't make someone a "drama queen" just because you disagree with something they do. A drama queen is someone that wails about things, such as creating this thread in the first place.

They're clearly not drama queens though - that's where you're wrong. You're trying your hardest to skate over the fact that he beat you 3-0, by telling us that his actions afterwards were laughable. You're the drama queen. They're pressing a couple of buttons on their controller and stopping you doing what you want to do, whereas you're making public declarations about people that you know nothing of.

 

If they were drama queens then there would be a thread made by people who use the option to kill yourself to get one up on other players, but funnily enough there isn't.
