Turtle Beach X41 - Xbox One Compatibility

I'll be upgrading to the Xbox One this week, and I'd like to know exactly how to set up my particular headset with the console. Since the One uses HDMI and not RCA cables, an optical Toslink S/PDIF audio cable that connects the console to the X41's transmitter is required.

In addition, I'll also need the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter, although I'm not sure why. Could someone clarify? Do I need anything else?

Would any cable work? (i.e. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/insignia-6-digital-optical-audio-cable-black/4409046.p?id=1219098795291&skuId=4409046or http://www.bestbuy.com/site/rocketfish-4-digital-optical-audio-cable-gray/9835197.p?id=1218181727979&skuId=9835197)

Those cables should work, from what I've seen they use a normal optical cable.

As for the adapter, the XBO uses a proprietary connector. The adapter is just so you can use a 3.5mm jack (2.5mm with the included 2.5mm to 3.5mm cable) on the console.
