Maimonides
I'll be upgrading to the Xbox One this week, and I'd like to know exactly how to set up my particular headset with the console. Since the One uses HDMI and not RCA cables, an optical Toslink S/PDIF audio cable that connects the console to the X41's transmitter is required. My problem is that I no longer have the optical cable that came with my X41s. Would any cable work? Could someone clarify? Do I need anything else?

Could someone clarify? Do I need anything else? Those cables should work, from what I've seen they use a normal optical cable. As for the adapter, the XBO uses a proprietary connector. The adapter is just so you can use a 3.5mm jack (2.5mm with the included 2.5mm to 3.5mm cable) on the console.
