Owning the same apt...

My friend owns 3 apts in 1 house and I've been wondering if it's possible if you can buy the house even if someone already owns all 3 aparments... ( I'm thinking of buying his house ) I just don't know if it may cause a glitch though...

You can buy the exact same apartments as your friend no problem. It won't cause any problems. Perhaps a bit of minor confusion when trying to get into your front door (game sends a prompt to buzz the other player/s or your address so you can walk into your house). But other than that nothing major.
