Which is the hardest heist setup/finale with randoms for you?

Recommended Posts

Most of them. I usually leave before the setup/heist even starts if player saved outfits isn't selected, that saves you a lot of headache, it's also the biggest sign that indicates the host doesn't know much about heists.

If anyone here needs help with heists feel free to add me, psn is the same: therealsabe , just write something like "gtaforums" in the message box

Prison Break finale. Generally it's the "prisoner" that screws things up. Last time I played it, he had no mic (of course) and insisted on being Rambo during the drive to the air strip. Just keep the damned doors closed, moron! Also had someone crash into a rock during the skydive. Damn, that was a long day, but I was trying to help out a friend.

Vans, the setup from the PS heist. F*ck it's irritating to see low level randoms trying to be the Navigator. Then, when I don't agree to be a driver, they constantly switch between nav and driver before finally readying after a couple minutes of that bullsh*t. Just stay out of the way, dipsh*t, at this point I can take all the pics and get the van delivered all by myself. Go to the beach, or something.

today i joined a friend's pac standard final we make it from the bank all the way to to the dingy and one of the randoms who joined us pilots the dingy out of the river and onto sand destroying the dingy i started shooting at the random with my combat mg!

For the person who mentioned the bike theft set up mission of the Pacific Standard series...

Last time I did that with my team for the CM challenge (in which we succeeded, BTW), we found out that taking just one bike initially will spawn the enemies, and that there is (or was, at that time) a finite number of them too. There's probably better tactics, but we just carefully drove the first bike to the drop off point with an Insurgent and a Kuruma to escort it.

Then, when there were no new enemies spawning, we took the other three there with no problems.

Cool tip! Been playing these for awhile and never tried that.

Another tip for the Pacific finale (if it's been mentioned in any of the other 13,396 threads, my apologies):

Coming out of the bank. After clearing the initial street of cop cars, the money carrier can step out and back in the bank while the other three clear the rest of the spawning cops before the next checkpoint. One guy at the top of the alley killing any spawners and the other two clear the alley all the way to the next checkpoint. The cops do eventually stop spawning and will not spawn again until you hit the next checkpoint but this gives the money carrier a free run without losing cash. Obviously only do this if you're not concerned with elite challenges, etc.,

Or just one player simply run to the bikes, blows them up, get the kuruma, drive back to the bank, pick everyone up, drive through the checkpoints again to the bikes were. After just cruise to the boat with no money loss. (The one who run to the bikes can also just simply commit suicide after he/she blew up the bike and the "drive to the dinghy" message came up. In this way all 4 players will spawn at the bikes.)

Well, I've only completed the First three heists all through to finale. And Yes, I think the Prison Break Finale may be the most difficult for newer folks ESPECIALLY if you all dont have mics (which is damn mandatory in the finale anyway IMO) But only because it has the most variables.

But, looking at it from another perspective the prison break finale can be made easier with four tips if i may be so bold as to post them.

1: Pilot should always when landing the plane to pick up the prof be faced AWAY from the prison. I learned that the hard way. Cop cars and stuff will generally spawn / arrive from that direction but not the other way.

2: Easiest way to deal with jets is to fly behind them (INB4 THIS GETS PATCHED) because doing that will cause the jets to just fly around doing basically nothing at all.

3: Demoltions should focus on blowing up cop heli's once the prof has been collected and is in the plane. Blowing up the cars on the runway is a bonus.

4: Prison officer / prisoner can visit Amu-nation on the way to the prison in order to get the prisoner better weapons. (yes you can visit amu-nation in the middle of a heist finale or setup. Inb4 rockstar patches this.)

Having said that, I think that probably the hardest job in that mission (again at least for newer people) would be being the prisoner/officer or realy the prisoner because of lack of weapons and/or armor.

Easiest is if the pilot land by the canal/ditch outside the prison!

And always put a high level as the officer due to the guns that is available at a higher level!

The demo can help out inside by blowing up guards with rockets....

i get so fruststrated when the demolition dies. i avoid the heist like the plague but jezus f*cking chirst demolition literally doesnt have to do anything! im usally the pilot so i fly behind the jet and somehow demoltion always f*cks up.

I'm a good player and I have died as demolition in Prison Break heist. I dont know if I was trolled on purpose or the pilot actually did a mistake but it was simply the pilots fault. What he did was to fly low over me while I was driving to the buzzard. The AI jetfighter that followed him shot rockets at me before I could get airborne thus killing me. The heist fails and everyone gets a message I died in the way to the buzzard and people cursed me.

I heard this happened to others and I have done it once myself as a pilot on purpose just to show off to a friend since there is no way the demolition can escape getting killed if the pilot decides to purposely lead the jetfighter above the demolition before he gets airborne. Remember, an AI jetfighters homing rockets can lock onto a player on foot!

tonight i had to deal with a low level (31) idiot while playing fleeca job kuruma, at first he would try to attack the enemies by him self and get killed about two times and on the third try i managed to kill the remaining enemies and get in the kuruma but he wouldn't, i kept beeping the horn suggesting to him to get in, i gave up and tried to exit the parking garage and i made it to the exit he died about 5 or 6 times after that i quit.

Oddly, I've found the hardest one to do with randoms is also one of the easiest. Pacific Standard Vans. People seem unable to take a photo of a van without driving into it. But I've now got the point where I never attempt heists or setups with randoms. I've got a bunch of good friends now and don't need to risk inviting a dufus into anything.

Rumble Bunneh

Prison Break is the only heist I will absolutely never play again. Ever. I always wind up being the "prisoner" for some reason.

The one time I got to be the pilot, I totally rocked.

Only 3 missions I play with randoms

Humane finale, PS bikes, PS finale. Hard difficulty with player saved outfits is always encouraging.

and when you get to the finale a good payout percentage is a good motivator too.

on the humane labs emp setup i usually prefer to be driving the insurgent into the labs because i have no mic so i can't communicate with my fellow heist players, but i do usually snipe the two guards at the gate.

i'm on 360

the hardest heist i've ever known is the avenger setup (doomsday heist) because i keep failing even with friends (i keep dying my friends also same)

(i did not have the thermal and my friends don't have also)

Prison Break by a large margin.

I don't know what it is that people find so difficult about it (glitched wanted stars not withstanding) but I've had way more screw-ups in it. Stupid stuff too like blowing up the prison van in the wrong spot, failed parachute jumps, flying into mountains/windmills/oceans, running into propellers....

I won't say the others have been flawless but they tend to all be combat-death related failures.

Screw emp delivering for now cuz I lately tried to complete the prison break.

Holy sh*t. It's not the pilot. Not the buzzard. Even though seen both screw up too.

And Rashkowsky not showing up or not moving is a bitch too.

But the most frustrating one is when players die during the parachute jump.

I mean WTF.

How unskilled can someone be?

It hurts seeing them opening the chute soon and crashing into the rocks.

Not steering or lowering speed at all.

+1 on prison break being the worst, because of bugs where the fool wont move & because its the only heist where you will fail without understanding what happened (because of the 2-3 teams thing) making it that much more annoying. Also it doesn't help that most of the non-english speaking players seem to love this heist, so its pretty much guaranteed that some of them wont be able to communicate.

Act3 is hard (a few of the setups not so much but in general its definably the hardest heist) but its still less annoying with randoms then prison break, at least on Act3 they will quickly give up once they realize all the npc's are running around with MK2 weapons, theres the invisible heavy dudes, etc. (Imo Act3 should've been level 120 minimum, but oh well) much better then some of the classic heists where they keep restarting 10-15 times somehow thinking next try will suck less.

EMP delivery isnt too bad, i used to try push for flawless completion right away, but now-a-days i just kick back, watch the randoms fail a few times while i casually follow them, then when they start losing their sh*t i tell them all to sit down and shut up, proceed to clear out the base on my own, mission done. Its a nice moment to flex with my 7 years of experience bscly 😛

How about a prison break where everything goes fine, including the parachute jump, until the buzzard tries to land and splashes it in the water at terminal speed. I was done at that point. During the whole heist, he didn't fire a single shot anyway

i think one of the hardest (original) heist was pacific standard job final, i would get killed about a couple of times, but i've had randoms do something to cause us to fail (get killed or get in front of me when i would fire an rpg at cops causing me to get blown up).

All of them, but "Deliver EMP" would be the worst.

Pacific standard finale with randoms is the worst. The high payout apparently attracts idiots way more than "deliver EMP". I rarely die on heists, but I do have issues with people walking in front of my barrel on that mission, or not setting player saved outfits. (that one just results in me leaving) I will not play that heist with any random period, and friends of friends only if they show up in heavy vest.

Meanwhile, I usually pass deliver EMP with randoms, as long as they speak english or don't rush.

To be fair everything with randoms is so hard but the hardest one for me was the Avenger setup for the Bogdan problem because all of the area would be dark and everyone dies

Most people could probably solo this one with a thermal sniper. If I host this, I will ask anyone who joins if they own the thermal sniper. I will only do this with one other player present, and they must own that thing.

I got into bunker research specifically for this mission.

You see randoms are dumb but we are dumber to join them or them joining us because we know for a fact we are going to fail multiple times but we still manage to get in with them

I have no qualms about kicking people from a job, or leaving a job that I think someone else should be kicked from. I usually stay until the first plane/chopper crash, or the first parachuting accident.
