Which is the hardest heist setup/finale with randoms for you?

Recommended Posts

One thing I'm afraid of.. which you see with games like PayDay2.. are the 'elitists'.

You MAY only do it 1 way, which is deemed the most effective method.. Don't do it that way, you'll get harassed verbally.

It's often impossible to start out as a new player, because you'll get cursed to death.. unless you take out hours to pre-play everything, which beats the purpose.

"Where is that?" -Kick within a second..

Surprises me that people learn the shortcuts for kicking immediately.. I still haven't looked it up in GTA 5. (and still don't know how in Payday/Left4Dead)

I know what your talking about in Payday. "Stealth?", "ye", "Wait here noobs" *8 mins later - alarm sounded by so called pro*, "gg noobs i told u to stay at spawn", *Host has left*

OT: It seems to be a tough draw between Series A Funding and PS. Yes, people have a tough time shooting at stuff with that big ass mg at the back of the technical.

It took some replays to complete Prison Break, but Series A Trash Truck can't be done with randoms for some reason. I'll do another 10-20 attempts to find three players that are able to survive this damn mission.

4: Prison officer / prisoner can visit Amu-nation on the way to the prison in order to get the prisoner better weapons. (yes you can visit amu-nation in the middle of a heist finale or setup. Inb4 rockstar patches this.)

Wasn't this patched already? I'm pretty sure last time I tried to drop by ammu-nation in the prison bus to stock up on armor, it told me it was closed.

The most annoying setup for me as been the Pacific Standard Signal mission. It's really not hard, but everyone always rushes to the building to be the one to drive the boat and then they have no idea where to go or how to lose the cops. I end up wasting 15 minutes while they fail to get near the objective area and lose the cops.

Guard can still drop weapons and ammo though.

I would say prison break finale. It's the hardest one imo and there are no checkpoints, and the part with the highest margin of failure is when you transfer Rashkovsky to the plane...right towards the end

Heh yea.. I've completely stopped playing PayDay 2, because of that general attitude. (there are enough normal players, but less)

For example.. there is an award, challenge, or whatever (I do not care at all about those 'hat economy' things).. and you have to use the same mask.

If you ask : "What award are you going for?".. it's enough for a kick 9 out of 10 times.. (You don't know!? -kick-)

L4D was even worse at times, as I tried to keep the last guy covered.. if the last guy is terrible.. the other 2 players will only notice me walking at the back with probably a corpse. (because pro players tend to ignore teammates) - kick.

Luckily haven't seen this as much in GTA.. sometimes at a heist, but I tend to follow directions.

At the moment I've had the biggest problems with the Pacific Finale. (have done all the setups/finales now)

I've read that it's possible to get inside a car, but we couldn't get in. (after 4 tries with the bikes.. and you probably all have to enter the garage in order to enter the car, but the host didn't want this)

The part where you have to escape some players kept dying and dying, which is kinda annoying, when you use armor from inventory.

The escape also took a few tries and finally got there on the bikes. (well, 2 of them, 2 others crashed)

I've had a bit more success with Prison Break with randoms. What I would do is make the lowest rank the pilot. That job is the easiest of the bunch thanks to the fly-behind-the-jet trick.

Completed this yesterday and we had a rank 25 pilot, and boy, I would say he was a better pilot than me. He did the follow the jet trick, he managed to land the plane close to the hangar (making it easier on the ground team), and (not sure if this was luck or not) managed to lose the cops in a short period of time after taking off.

Heist Finales? Pacific Standard definitely. Most randoms can't seem to drive a bike. Second place goes to Prison Break just because a single person not doing their job results in failure and dear lord I've seen some dumb people playing that one (like the guy who crashed the Buzzard into the ocean when he tried to land and pick us up at the end).

For the setup missions, Signal can be bad but I've had decent luck with it lately. Bikes is also rough because again, people can't drive bikes. Station has been the bane though, so many people can't figure out how to get on the cargo ship and repeatedly fail.

Course, I never play the Series A missions because I find them the most boring and the pay is terrible by comparison. So I'm not really counting those here

The very first Pacific setup. I love it when the navigators get in one car, speed off, the other driver gets in HIS car, speeds off and I just stand on a corner twiddling my thumbs hoping they figure it out. Bonus points for not knowing how to use the arrows and not having a mic. It really adds to the mystery!

Navigators should just drive. No need for mics/arrows, they can just drive to the vans

I'd say Prison Break. Just because their is no checkpoints and a fail means you restart the heist, pretty well from the beginning. When playing with randoms that can take forever and you still might not finish.

For the fun of it, I'll describe my last 4 attempt for the Prison finale. (I was host, others were random players)

One player was rank 111 and the 2 others were around 40-50.. myself around rank 80.

Beginning the finale I always ask whether anyone has a preference.. (better than to have them leave) so the rank 111 became demolition.

I was the prisoner, but should probably try to be the officer as highest rank.

First fail : Buzzard was destroyed (I'm quessing the rank 111 simply crashed it by accident)

Second fail : First the other player, officer, got shot to death (had 1 life).. and that guy was incredibly slow.. I had 2x more kills with picked up weapons and needed to advance myself, as he just stood still.

Only time I was the cause of the failure.. because I was using a bus for cover.. and I assume the demolition guy hit it before (eventhough there were no enemies at all at that spot).. I missed the burning bus and blew up. (I haven't hit the bus and there wasnt a reason for the officer to have hit the bus).

The rank 111 guy left.. and probably caused all the fails anyhow.

Third fail : We were flying away in the escape plane and the pilot simply could never get the right turn. He would use looping/corkscrews to escape 1 heli.. I saw the next one spawning a bit to the left and he tried to dodge it with a left turn. (this happened about 10-20 times in a row).

He then tried to do yet another looping and ended up in the water. (just don't do loopings in that plane with low attitude)

Fourth fail : We again made it to the escape and actually got to the parachuting part with 1 life remaining.

We all made it perfectly, but 1 guy was probably afraid to hit the cliff.. He could have just gone into the water.. but he tried to aim for the beach.. and fell on it face-first.

He respawned.. but I immediately noticed he spawned opposite to the highest part of the cliff.

He runs.. falls down.. suicides.. Fourth fail.

(before these 4 fail, I failed it about 4-6 times with another fixed team.. who were all low ranks and couldn't even get close with them)

My board has been stuck on the station setup for prison break since launch, so i'm gonna say that one.

Every time i try and get a team together, they either suck and keep dying, or i'll be in a lobby waiting for people to join so long that i get annoyed and stop trying

My friends and I really haven't been able to get online at the same time lately, so I've been attempting the "all in order" challenge with randoms. All was going as well as could be expected until I got to Series A - Trash truck. Have literally been stuck on this setup for 5 days. I have seen some of the DUMBEST play imaginable. It's not even a difficult setup. Most times it's the driver. They are in such a big hurry (for no reason, there is plenty of time) most times running over someone.

I even have it on normal to give us that one life. Still can't do it.

**edit - 10 minutes after I posted this, I managed to get a competent group and we completed it! I guess the squeaky wheel DOES get the oil. lol**

Hated - Prison Break.

If anyone fails, re-do everything again. Especially so on hard. It gets really booooooooooring. Most of the fails is from the ground team dying a lot.

There is also that glitch where the wanted level does not go away. Made me avoid it like the plague.

Favorite - Humane Labs Raid.

Easiest of them all, for me that is. Just as long as the host puts a decent player as a chopper pilot.

It also has one of the most boring position ever, the gunner.

I cannot tell for randoms, I never play these lobbies.

I play with friends, and we only did one run. The Trash Truck and the Pacific Standard finale were the most difficullt for us in our first run.

Definitely Pacific Standard. The first part usually goes pretty well. Then comes the driving. People either can't ride a bike or can't follow orders. If they follow me there will be no cops except for the first kilometer and choppers near the boat. Instead people usually insist on driving alone, either dying or making sure there will be 50 cops after me (who has the money) the second half of the ride.

For the person who mentioned the bike theft set up mission of the Pacific Standard series...

Last time I did that with my team for the CM challenge (in which we succeeded, BTW), we found out that taking just one bike initially will spawn the enemies, and that there is (or was, at that time) a finite number of them too. There's probably better tactics, but we just carefully drove the first bike to the drop off point with an Insurgent and a Kuruma to escort it.

Then, when there were no new enemies spawning, we took the other three there with no problems.

Oh so this setup is now two player?

Seriously, I know navigators can drive and take pictures. That's not the point.

Cool tip! Been playing these for awhile and never tried that.

Another tip for the Pacific finale (if it's been mentioned in any of the other 13,396 threads, my apologies):

Coming out of the bank. After clearing the initial street of cop cars, the money carrier can step out and back in the bank while the other three clear the rest of the spawning cops before the next checkpoint. One guy at the top of the alley killing any spawners and the other two clear the alley all the way to the next checkpoint. The cops do eventually stop spawning and will not spawn again until you hit the next checkpoint but this gives the money carrier a free run without losing cash. Obviously only do this if you're not concerned with elite challenges, etc.,

I think that the deliver emp setup for the Humane labs raid is the hardest, along with the pacific standard finale. Some people think that the prison break is hard because they cant fly the plane properly without hitting the wind turbines. They must be crap pilots to drive through the wind farm.

Also, if you play with randoms, you have a really low chance of succeeding (obviously), especially if they are anything lower than level 40. Sometimes, though, you do get the odd level 15 player who clearly has played a game like this before and knows what they are doing, in which case you most likely complete the heist or setup, so long as the other 2 aren't noobs.

What I do with the pacific standard finale is just ride out on the bikes once we've shot all the cops, and get in either an NPC car or a cop car and drive to the canyon in one of those. Sometimes, a player will actually get in or have the same idea and therefore get a car themselves. If you do it this way, you can avoid being knocked off your bike and reduce the amount of damage to you. I even managed to do the jump off the ridge and parachute down to the dingy with enough speed.

I would just play with your friends for all the heists or risk playing with randoms. However, if you play with the same group of people, you get a bonus at the last heist you do.
