Did it ever occur to you that a player-- especially if they're high level 100+ with all combat skills maxed---isn't necessarily a finale hopper? Never occurred to you that they busted their ass doing all previous setups for a heist leader (on max difficulty) and likely CARRYING that leader & the dumb randoms through the setup missions. Only to have said heist leader shaft you with a dick move-- invite all his friends in a closed session.

I agree. It does suck when you put in the work and they keep you out of the finale.

 

Only time I do that to a random is if they kill me or some other crew member after a setup...then you're out. Otherwise, if you helped for all five setups...I'm not going to go, "welp my crew member is online now, so bye bye"

Or if you do pick them up, then you shank them with your greedy 10% move. Which really stinks when you award the other 2 members 15%? But they're all under lvl 30 noobs who can't even carry more than 3 low lever body armor? And who lack the maxed combat skill set your RPG/grenade launcher/machine gun/11 armor level 100+ char has? LOL

 

Heist leaders with your attitude are the reasons why crews are so dysfunctional on missions. Because you're not giving players tthe opportunity to recover the $25k in RPGs & $5500 in body armor they burned getting your greedy ass through all those setup missions to the finale in pacific.

 

This is the very shortsighted attitude I typically encounter with some 90% heist leaders on pacific & HL

 

OT: meet your greedy twin online the other night while doing Pacific. Did all the setup with same 4 members until the final. One player had to leave, leaving myself, heist leader & his buddy (who kept dying in setups). New random signed on.

 

Heist leader cut: 55% for himself (lvl 32), 20% to his lvl 25 buddy, 15% to the new LEVEL 23 random that just joined, and 10% for my lvl 155 LOL

 

My resulting troll fest performance when we left the bank was worry of an Oscar

 

Heist leaders with your attitude only have themselves to blame for your much needed rage quit therapy sessions LMAO.

 

even under high levels finale hoppers that know their sh*t are rare

If he's giving 10%? I leave. 15%? I let them wait a few minutes and have the lobby auto-continue. I'll do well enough to ensure we succeed but I won't be a team player. I know what I'm doing, so you should as well. Give me 20% and you'll have my best effort AND I'll watch your back. You get what you pay for and you only get the best if you pay at least 20%-25%. No more, no less.

The only thing worse than a greedy heist leader is the host that you help with all of the setups (not dying a single time btw) and not get invited to the finale.

Well sometimes when I'm the host and I'm not greedy I give fair equal 25% to everyone, when I want to make a quick buck I give myself 40% and everyone else 20%.

I think 40% to the leader is fair but anything above 45% is just greedy.

 

It sort of depends on the situation I'm in. If I have plenty of time I just send "20" as a message, if he/she continues to be greedy I'll just make everyone wait the five minutes and then leave. If I'm really feeling evil I'll make everyone wait the five minutes, do the mission and then leave when the mission is close to ending.

I know this is sort of being a douchebag but it beats being greedy.

 

One problem I've seen arising is players killing you after heists preparations or heists. Might start a post about that since its just being a douchebag as well.

You're greedy and not them.Well, you know what?I've 43 millions, just finished the Criminal Mastermind with my bois 2 days ago.Level 250,all stats except stealth maxed, etc.I started playing on April 16 this year, and mostly did heists.I know everything that needs to be known, have full snacks, full armors, the heavy vest outfit.Money is definetely not a problem, on top of that 43 millions, I have everything I want, already.

If you have it on normal, I demand 25-30% at least.Playing on normal means you're super rich and you don't need the extra money, or that you're a very incompetent leader, and you don't deserve it either.

 

 

This applies mostly to Pacific Standard, that's the only heist I play nowadays.

 

 

 

And a good method to make the asshole learn his lesson is:In Pacific Standard finale, just shoot the bags until there's no money inside.But make sure you do this near the end, so the greedy leader doesn't notice it and finishes the heist.Lesson learned, you greedy bastard!

 

 

 

 

Luckily people seem to know what's fair and what's not on PC.They usually split it 40-20-20-20 no questions asked, and they do it fast, nobody even has enough time to demand 20% they already have it.

Honestly, if you set my cut below Rockstar's default, I'm leaving. Why am I worth less than default? This is especially more pressing when I'm the platinum scorer in the leader's setups.

I know I have never been in any heist where anyone has so readily taken 10%, and many others can back that up with their own experiences. The rate at which you claim this happens is so astronomical that it just screams, "bullsh*t!", and your account being under 2 months old only lends to my persuasion.

 

Anyways, can we just let this thread die already? There's absolutely nothing anyone can add that hasn't already been beaten to death (including the fact that you're greedy as f*ck, and no amount of rationalization can change that). It got close until you had to revive it from several pages in with some anecdotal crap that's highly irrelevant to the OT (remember that this was originally about greedy hosts, not the "finale hoppers" you've so famously brought up every... single... time).

I really don't understand this greediness over finales. I mean if you go in randomly you should know what the host puts in to start the heist, so you could make your judgement of percentage.

But when it's a really cheap heist like Humane Labs, Prison Break or anything its greedy to not give atleast 20. That's my opinion atleast, of course I'm tempted to f*ck everyone over and give myself 55% but in my eyes its stupid since other people help you get money and you get more than half of the score?

All that "be random get less be in set ups get more" could work but most of the time in cheaper heists you need to remind yourself that (I don't wanna be that guy but) it's just a game and you could be a little more considerate and give 25 in the cheapest and 20 in the ones that aren't that expensive.

I won't be ready until I feel I'm getting a reasonable slice of the pie. I remember once the leader gave me a low levels cut so he ended up with nothing and I ended up with 30%. Naturally I couldn't accept it as I knew it wasn't the right thing to do. I really like people to get 25% each. Most heist leaders want 55% which is understandable as they've had to put down money to get the next heist but its not fair on everyone else.

Got a message the other day asking if I wanted to join in on a heist. Said alright. Host asks me how much I want. I told him 20 if we have setups to do, 15 if it was just the finale. This was for Pac Standard. Dude tells me it's just the finale and tries to get me to take 10. Told him nah because I run Heavy Vest, know the shortest routes, and use the Armored Kuruma; Ie: not a noob at this, been speed grinding.

 

Me and the host were the money carriers. We told the others to wait by the bikes while I got my car. Host followed me to my garage with cops on his tail, causing me not to be able to get in my garage. I made the split-second decision to tell them to just go for it and not wait. Hung a U on the bike and barreled up the Western Highway. Made it to the Dinghy first and got everyone away safely (first try too).

 

Afterwards, I told the host "this is why I didn't want to take 10%". He responds "fair enough".

 

Some hosts can seem greedy, but if you speak to them the right way and explain yourself (as well as pull your own weight) then it usually isn't an issue.
