I am giving up hope of ever getting past the prison break heist.

It's just simply impossible to try and do it with randoms. Which I am unfortunatley left with due to my lack in the way of actual 'friends' who I can do the heists with at the moment.

They leave before the job is done, quit, disconnect whatever, ask for more money (No, I am not going to give you and only you 25%, and I am not giving 25% to everyone becuase I f*cking paid for the heist and did all the set up without your help).

I simply cant get it done with 3 other people. The lack of communication doesnt help, but it could still be done if none of them decised to give up and leave the session half way through the heist.

It takes so long to find only 3 other people only for one of them to leave before the heist, during the heist, or trolling and leaving when everyone is already in the plane and ready to jump (f*cking seriously, f*ck the guy that left that close to the end).

And then I have to start all over again with inviting players, waiting 20 minutes to get 3 players, whatching that f*cking cutscene for thr 600th time, and then having to do it all again after one of them decided that that would rather be doing something else mid way through the cutscene.

It sucks that you need 4 people, and the player base for the most part , sucks. But we're all in it together and hiest are some f the best fun available so it's worth the look. Hope I can help you!

Everyone knew it was 4 players so why didn't you start making some friends before it was released?

I was in the same boat but decided to do something about it before it landed, created a thread and made a few friends. From these guys made more friends and slowly started to add more and more to the point I have 20+ added to my friends list which increases almost every day.

 

Tips - join an active crew with hundreds of people, join a live free roam session and stay in your garage/apartment if you dont want to venture out. You will start receive heists request, pick what you want and start talking through your mic. If no one is talking, back out and try again.

A friend and I have done it with 2 randoms, and I've also done it with 3 randoms, so it is possible. Not much you can do about people quitting pre-mission cuz of payouts, or mid-mission for whatever reason, but to avoid failing the mission I'd suggest making yourself the pilot (assuming you're decent at it). It's actually probably the easiest job of the 4, but only if you know the trick of how to get on the jet's ass as soon as it shows up. You can't trust randoms to do this (or to orbit over the Vinewood sign until there's like a minute left on the timer, to give the demo guy more time to get to the buzzard), so it's better just to do it yourself. Most everyone who plays GTA oughta be able to shoot a bunch of bad guys, so going into the prison is probably the safest job you can give to a couple of players you don't know.

 

You'll get it done eventually.

I tried it a few times at first with some randoms who seemingly did not read the instructions on screen and didn't use mics. We tried a few times but failed.

I bailed on them and got lucky joining another group. They didn't use mics either, but atleast knew what they were doing. Nailed it first time.

 

Keep trying out lobbies, you will get lucky eventually. When you do find someone with a mic that is competent, add them as a friend to invite in future,

I just gave everybody 25% on this cause I want to finish all the Heists in order so I can help others. Not to mention the pain it was....... I had to fly the Velum since I didn't trust the others to. 25%= most likely loyal people and no f*ck ups

Tried to do it with randoms last night......HUGE waste of time!

 

Spent almost an hour and we failed every single times. i was in the Buzzard

 

Pilot crashed the plane on the first try.

Both guys inside the prison died a few times

Then, they finally got out of the prison alive but one of them died trying to get into the plane (ran into the propeller).

The last time we tried before I rage quit, everything was fine until the very end....I was waiting on the beach while my teammates were parachuting....one of them landed on the rotor blade.....

 

Thank god I have a crew!

The more I read, the more I feel lucky that I wound up with the people that I did to do much of the second and third heists. We went through Prison Break reasonably well, the real problem was the Deliver EMP setup, but that was eventually figured out.

I'm in the same predicament OP. I have tried many many times just to witness some dropkick die in more & more vexatious ways. I should actually have it done but of course the "never-lose-cops" glitch had to put an end to that.

 

The worst incident was when some prick thought it would be amusing to spam the ready up so we couldn't start & when we finally moved on to the next pre-heist screen just left. What a tool.

Just try again and again, bro. And sometime, someday you meet a Pro-team of random guys, lol)).

I completed yesterday all Humane Labs setup missions and heist in a row with one team. Just a team of randoms, without mics, from various crews. Now we are friends.

Well first of, just pay them 25% to create more loyalty. I have done all heist but got a invite for Prison Break yesterday from randoms so I decided to help them out. As the prison guard I dropped a AK for the prisoner next to the bus. I was the only one talking but the rest listened pretty well, and we completed it in one try! Even with friends I havn't completed it this fast lol.

 

Tips for Prison break(Just shout them out to them they are probably listening):

-Pilot -> Don't fly over the Vinewood sign before the counter hits the 1 minit. After this you got 2 options: Either fly behind the Jet or fly in circles around the Buzzard. The pilot needs to fly to him and not the other way around. Try to keep the Buzzard between you and the Jet. When the Ground team has escaped the Jet will despawn and you'r free to land on the sandy shores airfield. When landed make sure your plane has its tail facing the side the ground team is coming from, then just open the tail door with D-Pad right. Now if you succeed in taking off all you need to do is to dodge the choppers that spawn in front of you.

 

-Demolition -> Do not blow up the bus right away, shoot the driver, steal it and bring it to the designated spot and blow it up there. After this steal the Buzzard and fly over Sandy Shores. When pickup time arrives (and the Jet despawns) Fly over sandy shores again and destroy all cops around the plane so the ground team get in the plane without getting shot.

 

- Prison guard -> Before entering the prison bus drop a weapon (AK or something like that) and plenty of ammo. You will get the AK back after the heist.

- Prisoner -> Pick up this weapon

-> For both: Just take it slow, Keep eating snacks and putting on armor.

 

If everyone just knows what to do this heist is actually is quite simple, though with friends it once took me 5 tries, 7 tries and 4 tries (with different groups of friends).

He's not bitching and moaning, his complaints are perfectly valid and have basically ruined heists for me. Either make the level requirement 60+, or add in a system in which people have to play in other players heists set up to progress through their own.

That might been mee, cops where everywhere as the guy in the buzzard didn't shoot any,including the helix,and the person driving put us on the side away from the doors,do I had to run round, when *it* occurred.

 

If it was me,sorry for F-ing up,trust me,I felt bad and stupid.

I do not think you need anyone to talk to complete prison break, i completed prison break with just one friend in a party and the other 2 were randoms and that is how i play all the setups and heist finale... and i did not even had to talk with this friend about heist things during the heis, because the objectives are very clearly on th screen. About the people who leave before, maybe can be disconnecting issues i had some too.

Just fly behind The jet before demolitions finally get the chopper. I've only finished it once and my boneheaded self cancelled Humane to help host Prison Break for my friend. Have to go through the pain again.

It's doable with randoms.

I joined an invite to prison break with some random guys and ended up doing all of them from that point in one day with them (finished Pacific at about 3am after starting early afternoon).

You just need to get lucky and run into the random players that don't rush it and mess everything up.
