They should bring back the flamethrower.

They should bring back the flamethrower from gta iv. It could be in the heavy weapons and have ammo similar to the jerry can as in the fact it depletes over time. It should have no auto lock but players should lose the same amount of health when they are lit on fire by a jerry can over molotov. It should instantly set cars on fire and make them undrivable. They should also make it so that when you're set on fire your character ragdolls in pain. Molotovs should be purchasable at ammunation or you should be able to make them at a gas station. You should also be able to auto lock on people with the jerry can and throw gas on them. In first person it should reduce their vision. Players doused in gasoline should be able to have a lighter throw at them to make them explode. A lighter should also be purchasable at ammunation and it would be in the thrown weapons category. What to you think, more fire based weapons in gta or no?

Lol but in all seriousness, I would love to have the flamethrower return in GTA V. However I'm talking about the ones from before GTA IV, having it be "realistic" would kill it.

I think your referring to San Andreas. GTA 4 never had one. But it'd be a interesting weapon.

Edit: I can just picture cycling through my weapons and finding 20 lighters in the thrown weapons section.

I'm sure we will get it at some point, the whole game feels like it has core things here and there that were held back for DLC or simply weren't ready in time.

 

I think the complete game with future SP paid content all together is going to be epic in proportion and seen as one of the greatest games of all time. i have high expectations

I can only imagine putting on the black hazmat suit and throwing tear gas everywhere to prevent noobs to auto-aim auto shotty me and spraying the flamethrower everywhere. The fire should also spread to trees and bushes in the nearby area.

The fire looks horrible in gta V imo and wouldn't look too clever coming out of a pipe, but I'm not against adding it.

Totally agree. If they add the flamethrower and chainsaw I'd have nothing left to ask for. After all, we got heists, the hydra, and the savage (essentially the hunter) in one fell swoop.
