Xbox 360 car meet!

Recommended Posts

Trying to have a laid back car meet, with heists being out, there hasn't been much time to maybe host/join a car meet, nevertheless I've been wanting to do another for awhile.

Rules:

1. No killing please

2. No legendary Motorsport vehicles, takes away the purpose of making a normal car into a sweet car

3. Just at the beginning, meet up where host is located

Now, I'm more of a host rather than a planner, I enjoy going with the flow, I propose the idea of starting with cars and perhaps cruising and some races, and then switch to offroad vehicles and go off-roading! Although always great to hear ideas from players as this is an event that everyone can hopefully enjoy.

GT: xShakenbake21

In order to receive and invite, please post your name on this forum and/or send me a message on Xbox. Those who do both will get invited first.

Holding meet approx 11:00-15 central time (U.S.)

Hope it will be a good turnout

March 16th/17th Meet - Feedback & Pictures

Feedback:
I'm sure no one really knows who I am but I used to host a bunch of meets and join meets to the point of attending a meet a night for 3-4 weeks straight. Yeah, it was an addiction. I didn't have the game for around 4-5 months due to it being broken and not bothering to get a new copy. I got a copy and now ready to jump back in meets. This is my first return meet and man was it a blast! So I used to post feedback and pictures to show if the host did a good job or not/if it was worth joining his/her meets. I would also call out bad players; not those who couldn't control their cars but those who couldn't control themselves. I honestly don't mind if someone is new to the game, joins a meet and doesn't know how to drive. Cars can be fixed and no one really minds if an apology is presented. We've had a troubling player tonight and if he had apologized despite blowing people up with grenades, we would've understand but still a bit upset. It's understandable, yes, but to the point of ignoring giving an apology the first time and then leaving the game after blowing up cars a second time, it's clear that player doesn't belong here. That's why I'm placing the following in my own blacklist (a list I compiled of bad players - a list any host can use to avoid inviting bad players - all players on the list are seen first hand by me).

TheDialog for intentionally blowing up vehicles.

I saw his act, I had my suspicions and I must congratulate him for putting up a facade. It's not the first time I've seen that act but it was well done. We were all at LS Customs at Paleto Bay just sitting in the parking lot, messing around, when someone yelled out "grenade! grenade! grenade!" and we all scrambled (I was afar and simply watched). I'm assuming that the warning came from TheDialog to put up some sort of character in place. I'm assuming, here. All assumptions were gone, though, when 20 minutes or less later we go down the road to offroad in some trucks. We're all bundled up on a tight trail when a 2-3 cars suddenly blow up with TheDialog's name having the kills. He quickly left. From shame? Doubtful. I never understood the "blow up and leave" troll move. Do you seriously get a thrill out of it? You're not showing it off to anyone, either. Which brings me to another thing: His buddy, Gill4463 was in the game. I asked him if he knew what was up with TheDialog to which Gill said he had no clue. So I'm doubting TheDialog was showing off to Gill as Gill stayed for the rest of the meet and was really cool.

We started with a small group of only 4 but it grew to...6-7 players. I want to make special mention to Chiefjeffjeff for not having a mic yet following every order set by the host or leader of the pack. Players with no mics can be a burden but Chief was a prime example of an attentive player that was there for the meet. Patient and courteous.

Enough ass-kissing,
let's see what you were missing!

Pictures:

As tradition; selfie first! And I thi-goddamnit, first picture and someone is doing a fingering motion:

The first group consisting of 3 (out of 4) players:

I really digged this crew logo:

The whole gang is here! Let's go!

So we did like 10 feet, changed cars and this guy presumably went and jacked off:

I was glad my first return meet was doing typical meet things such as climbing Chiliad:

And taking typical meet pictures:

And waiting for others to turn up which is always fun in its own way:

GODDAMNIT!

Bighead joins us! In a buzzard with no intention of shooting at the cars on the mountain. So tempting, I'm sure.

With bighead as my driver, I now can take pictures while riding shotgun. Let's follow this black mesa...

Goddamnit, what happened?! WATCH OUT!

Hitting the black mesa in front of us, we tumbled down...

And down...

So much for having doors:

We weren't the only one that were busted up:

Here is the previous mesa doing the world's slowest rolls:

Still rolling after taking a picture:

We then stopped at the camp to shoot some religious types:

I felt like a reporter in some battlefield:

The cops showed up and made a memorable chase:

Cops fell off cliffs and called us names but we escaped:

We stopped at the LS Customs in Paleto Bay for a bit - to the point of the host driving a car into the fuel tanks. Totally unrelated to the "grenade!" moment.

I've never taken a picture here (as far as I know) so that was cool:

Mesa quickly climbs the wall and goes to China to try their own wall:

We met a Ranger Granger on the way and invited him into our meet:

The Granger left us when we spent a bit of time on this little challenge:

Many failed:

But this made it up! This is what a wasted $100,000+ car looks like:

"GET THE CAMERA OUT!"

"LEEEEEEEROY!"

No, this isn't a different meet. We made our way down to the classic LS Customs and I fell in love with a Phoenix:

Screw you, Xbox One, I already have high-detailed interiors:

So the Kuruma/Evo was popular towards the end but this is the one I loved the most:

Ended the night with a chill photoshoot by myself as the meet came to a close:

Good times. Would definitely want to join one of Shake's meet again. Just because the meet has a very small group (4 or less) doesn't mean you can't have a good time. It was a blast the whole way, literally at some points but fun nonetheless. :)
