Insurgent should be 4x4

Why isn't this thing a 4x4 or am I missing something. You would expect a vehicle based on a military personnel vehicle would be all wheel drive

Remember they're being tested by Merryweather by the time of heists, not used by all personnel.

 

Maybe that's why there aren't any in singleplayer. They didn't pass the tests.

Be my luck they bring out another version that's even more than the pickup that the driver could control the turret that's 4x4

It should be. Though I don't feel it really matters. It has enough traction and torque to get a pass in my eyes.

 

I've recovered from some pretty bad falls in that thing as it is.

The PV one handles like a beast once you pimped the brakes and lowered it. Slap a turbo on it aswell. I catch up to most cars with it, then ram them back to the stonage.

I agree it needs 4x4. We can change it if we get enough support like with the Sandking

It would be nice to use during rock crawling events if it was 4x4. But right now it won't cut it. It does everything else well though.

Had no clue it's not 4x4 - mainly use it in the city and rams cars easily (too easily). Would not of known if it wasn't for this thread. It definitely needs to be 4x4 seeing it's pushing all that weight (I'd love to know how much gas it gets) yet I feel it's powerful enough to be two wheel drive. Maybe like a two wheel drive mode and just stick it in 4x4 when needed but our character can't find the lever for it.

The spreadsheet is completely wrong about this. If you roll the Insurgent on its back the front tires do not move at all when you press on the gas. There is zero power applied to the front wheels. Feel free to do it yourself.

Mountain climbing is a chore compared to even the mesa for 650k plus upgrades one would hope better than sanding but almost 6x6 when it came down to off road performance. Has it made it less enjoyable no but it would make it even more fun

Someone in a different thread said the exact opposite to you, although they did say it was 90/10 in favour of the rears.

 

I've not unlocked it yet so can't confirm either way.

Are you for real? Oh well, your the one missing out on the one of the best cars in the game. If it was 4x4 I would of got rid of Dubsta 6x6 and many people would lose their offroad vehicles becuase they simply would not compare. Its the toughest wheel based vehicle in the game and would become too op.

Also the car isnt really designed for offroad, its a road car which is more than capable of offroading, not extreme offroading.

Making it an AWD vehicle would totally put the Sandking and Dubsta 6x6 out of favour with everyone. They can't build the perfect vehicle otherwise what is the point of having so much variety?

No you can't the SandKing was originally 4x4 but a patch broke it and made it 2WD then it was to 4x4 again in the following patch. The only change you can hope for or against is its armor being reduced.

I'm disappointed at the lack of a soda machine in the back. I mean, come on, it's a vehicle based on a military personnel vehicle and I know for a *fact* that some people in the military like soda, so wtf Rockstar? Unrealistic much????

 

Now I have to go to the shop to buy snacks and sodas before going on a rampage in my new Insurgent. Rockstar are dumb.
