Whats the point of hosting a heist

Recommended Posts

When nobody joins? I get invited the whole time I play, but whenever I host im lucky to get 1 person. I still havent finished the prison break setup as host. I finally get to enjoy this update without all the error messages and I can't even get through the heists as host. What, did everyone and their mom get tired of heists already or something?

The only thing that I find sucks about being host is that players don't rejoin for the next Setup mission.

I guess nowadays people are under the impression the host will undercut them so what's the point of playing when you could control the payouts?

Find a group of people on here to do heists with, makes it so much easier to host and progress through them all to unlock them.

and prison break seems to be the one that people are always inviting to, I don't join them anymore as I've played the set up missions and final heist quite a few times already, I don't want to get bored of it.

You'll get a group eventually--you just have to be willing to wait a while.

To me, the most frustrating thing is that a lot of the set-up missions are actually solo-able. There's no reason to need 4 people to get the prison bus, for example. 1 person blocks the road, shoots the driver, quickly switches to their homing launcher and takes out the chopper, then drives the bus down onto the railroad tracks and waits out the cops. I'm fine with the finales needing 4 people, but they should've been better about figuring out which set-ups could be done with just 1 or 2 players and allowed us to do that...

Totallycasual

The lure of massive payouts if you decide to be a dick about it is too hard to resist it seems, they should have made the payout breakdown system different in that the start up costs are removed before the take is split so people can see a clear 4 way equal split (no $ setup missions for anyone), as it is now they see the leader taking 40-60% and are like f*ck this and leaving.

Everyone is trying to host.

Have patience when waiting for players to join. Keep an eye on your tv screen and do something else, people will join eventually. Yea it sucks but that's how it is.

I usually have to wait 10-30 minutes to get a lobby together.

I am f*cking tired of receiving an invitation then joining the game in less than 3 seconds, and messaging popping up saying "Err sorry this lobby is full, would you like to enter a..." Then I say no, but instead of taking me back to my location, I QUIT THE SESSION!!!!

this so much, just put me back where i was not the damn clouds and then fail to connect to whatever lobby it tried to dump me in and send me back to single player.

Why join someone else's heist and get screwed out of your cut? I have yet to see a random heist leader offer more than 15%, and most try to drop it lower. On the rare occasions that I accept a random invite, I end up leaving because I'm not a charity.

Said it before: you pay peanuts, you get monkeys. 20% cut minimum or greedy heist leaders can just keep on waiting, while "the help" just bounce from setup to setup, making bank.

Not blaming you personally, OP - you're just a victim of the greed machine.

If you're finding that randoms aren't joining your heists and setups, just come on over to one of the existing threads GTAForums has going for grouping up. I'm sure there are plenty of players who'd love to get together with you for heists.

I'm on GTA Foruns crew and I can state that NOT A SINGLE MEMBER FROM THAT CREW joins my heists, and I swear to god I don't screw anyone's payout...Because I can't even get a crew together to finish the second heist...

PS3 BTW

I don't know what's worse. Waiting forever to finally get a full lobby, only for one of the knobs to leave right in the middle of the setup mission; or accepting an invite from somebody, only for them to kick you out. Why even do Auto Invite then?
