Pre-Heists this forum was filled with heist related threads. The HYPE was strong.

I for one kept my expections low even though I had a few ideas of what may come.

Honestly I expected more SP type missions with some extravagant cut scenes and some rather large explosions of some sort haha

Most missions were pretty clear cut, nothing to insanely crazy.

Im not complaining, I appreciate the free content.

Imo they did not live up to the hype you guys created.

going to say "not sure yet" but only because i have not finished them all. to be honest i did not know what to expect from heist, but i am pleased with them so far. as far as being over hyped by people that is too true and overplayed.

For me and probably a lot of people who need to play with Randoms No.More or less I do not have 3 hours of time to spend doing a Heist in a row each day (as most people on these forums would not), so even with a Crew I would not get them completed (and would feel bad for leaving part way); the solution being to go Heists Leader. However:

Matchmaking is so bad I can not get people to Join quickly when I am the Heists Leader and have therefore been effectively forced to Join Heists as a Crew Member which means playing them out of Order and hardly enjoying any continuity and just frustration.

Any game that has raids' quests, or any team type mission is going to require a team. Its not the games fault you dont have the time or any friends to enjoy it with.

Im on the last heist and I havent had one take over 2 hours on normal. If you cant enjoy a video game for 2 hours with no distractions then just stick to free roam or racing.

The issues with the download that appear to be still going have made Heists a bit of a let down personally. Constant drop outs while trying to download (took 4 days) & now not getting "the call" from Lester has lead to disappointment, especially after the long wait between DLC's.

Content, although OK, was not what the hype pointed to which was the next disappointment.

Think R* need to "leak" a little more info so the punters aren't as let down when the DLC drops & the content is not what the Youtubers had read into or speculated about.

As for the Heists set ups & missions themselves... after the download issues, I've only managed to get half way through the Fleeca Bank Heist as a crew member & still cannot set up a Heist myself, so am not really in a position to comment. They seem to be different & enjoyable though.

Try to find one or two other players in the Lobby and Meetups section...

I never thought I would have a possee to play with, I ALWAYS play by myself.

But now I have a cool crew of dudes (friends of the first guy) that are down to help and do Heists if we feel like it at the time.

All from ONE person I found trying to host the first Heist.

I can't even imagine doing this with randoms each time.

YES, i think they lived up to the hype. They added a bunch of stuff we didnt expect too. As long as a new update doesnt break my game (interaction menu bug)... i'm usually happy.

For me yes. I knew it was just an overrated collection of missions. Sort out the matchmaking though, not surprised that has been a flop.

Fully expect R* to support this properly and add atleast 1 or 2 more heist missions in due course.

Can't believe its a week tomorrow, been a long week and always itching to get back to playing again. Haven't felt like that since the game was released back in 2013.

I did every heist with random and it took a while at times, but hey they got done (except the final heist who glitches out on me).

For me they delivered big time, I had next to no hype and it blown my expectations out of the water. By far the most fun content for me in the game.

I'm honestly torn... In some ways, definitely yes and in someways, no... For me personally, the essence of heists were actually embodied in a few of the setup missions, more than the heist finale's themselves... The most glaring examples of which, being the Hydra aircraft carrier setup as well as the yacht mission! I think largely this was due to a series of entirely new locations and interiors, things that we had not been used to interacting with over the course of the last year and a half since the games release! So it made those particular missions not only dynamic and fresh, but also quite fun as well.

I think the best example of this and the heist that really won my heart was the humane labs raid... (whether air team or ground team) The perfect balance of new experiences and fun! :)

Given all of the hype that had been expressed not only here on the forums, but also through posts made by R* themselves, I think they were going to be hard pressed to live up to the hype either way... But overall I think they did a great job... That is with the exception of the final heist, I was expecting a far more dynamic experience that incorporated a bit more of a challenge! But that's just me...

When all is said and done though, I did have alot of fun...which at the end of the day is what it's all about! ;)

They fked up by letting just anyone host it. It should be 120 to host it. Too many are hosting and its hard to find people that will join. Also, people may not join because of the warning they get that joining that heist will mess up their in order progress.

I can say without a doubt yes. It's exactly what I expected and I'm more than happy with them. Just the addition of some much needed content like rebreathers and night vision has made this update insanely awesome for me. Add on top of that all the extra freeroam things they added and other much needed fixes and this is easily one of the best updates to the online since launch.

Mixture of bad things and awesome things

Disappointed that the aircraft carrier and yacht aren't in fremode

Disappointed in the countless server errors, freezes, crashes, bugs

Disappointed in the bikes- enduro is worse than sanchez in every way, lectro is slow as sh*t and not worth anything near 750,000

Disappointed in the Series A Funding finale, felt like a prep mission

Disappointed in Technical- unlocked after insurgent? 950,000? basically a mounted MG, could achieve same effect by standing in the bed

The savage is insane

The valkyrie is insane

The hydra is insane

The insurgents are way better than I could have hoped for

The Heists themselves are extremely fun, and pay as well as I could have hoped

The Adversary modes are really fun
