Awesome. Maybe you could make these into a game mode for CitizenFX?

Awesome. Maybe you could make these into a game mode for CitizenFX?

Thanks for the feedback.

I think it will be a bit harder to make these missions available for multiplayer mode (since it involves dealing with network natives which I have no clue how to use). I'll try to spend some time next week into debugging decompiled CO-OP SCO missions to understand how these network native functions work.

Unless there's an easier way to make it via ScriptHook (I don't have too much ScriptHook knowledge, I usually deal only with native SCO functions to create missions).

Having GTAV Online missions available to play as multiplayer on GTA IV would be amazing! I think I'd spend more time playing GTA IV than GTA V, lol =)

Installed it and played Gruppe Sechs Heist mission but there're few things that you need to improve. I entered the area and ride the truck but none of the guards attack me. Also, please make the mission menu closed automatically after you choose a mission. Haven't tested the other missions yet but I'll test them and report any bugs to you.

Are you sure? I've tested it here and they've killed me even before reaching the car.

I've set all enemies around the car to have 10 as sense (so they should only spot you either if you get too close or if you shoot against them).

Try sending me a video sample (so that I can take a better look on what's happening - or a screenshot, video would be better). Thanks!

Michael_Townley

My bad, I tested it again and they did attack me. But I encountered one bug where the mission wouldn't failed even if the truck is destroyed. Hope you can fix that.

-EDIT-

Some suggestions:

1. Please make the menu closed automatically after a mission is selected. I don't know how to explain it but you'll understand if you choose a mission and after the screen turns black, the menu is still there and covering the text of the mission. I know I can close it myself but doing it everytime is a little bit annoying.

2. You don't need to display the objectives for a long time because it disturbs phone call subtitles. What about making it for only 8 seconds?

3. What about changing the the name 'Menu' in the cellphone to 'Missions'? I guess that's better.

4. You said the mission is hard, I think you shold make a bit easier as it might be difficult for some people.

Thanks for the suggestions and for testing (I will look into it for the next version).

BTW, I have fixed the issue with the vehicle in "Gruppe Sechs Heists" mission and updated the download link with a new version (so whenever the vehicle gets destroyed the mission will fail).

Regarding the objective times, it's actually set to 9 seconds =)

Regarding the menu, I've tried doing so before releasing it using the TERMINATE_ALL_SCRIPTS_WITH_THIS_NAME native function (but the character gets stuck looking at the cell phone on an infinite loop). The "Menu" label on the cellphone actually came from Three-Socks Modmanager SCO called spcellphonemain.sco (I think I will have to decode the SCO, rename it and re-encode).

The only suggestion I have that hasn't been mentioned is a different way to display the money payout upon mission completion.

I find the current "money counter" thing and all the noise it makes annoying. Personally I'd prefer the way original IV missions do it.

But that's just me. It's not a big deal if it stays as-is, I can learn to ignore it and focus my resentment on other things more deserving

of it, like gun control activists or Justin Beiber.

EDIT: Actually, I do have another suggestion that I just thought of. On missions where you steal or repo cars, make the payout amount

dependent on the condition of the vehicle when you deliver it. Like Brucie or Stevie's vehicle thefts, the more damaged the vehicle,

the less money you get paid. So if you want paid the full amount, either be very careful with how you carry out the mission and how

you drive, or at the very least, take the car to a pay-n-spray on your way to deliver it.

EDIT2: Just had another thought. I've always wanted to play IV's co-op multiplayer missions (Deal Breaker, Bomb Da Base II and Hangman's NOOSE)

in single player. Maybe you could do those too at some point?

And one more suggestion, what about a bank heist missions?

You posted this mod on GTAGarage, right? Why don't you post it on GTA4-Mods? I'm sure there'll be a lot of people who will like it :).

@J.A.G: Thanks for your suggestions.

The damage condition idea is a good one and actually very easy to do. I wish I could add a detailed progress-bar with total car damage (like the one on TLAD CO-OP Mission called Witness Protection, but I think the TXD is not available on IV).

Regarding the old CO-OP missions, I might have a better workaround to make it available on single-player:

- Open the decompiled SCO script and look for the value with the amount of players required to play the mission, which I believe is 2 (I already have a clue of where that value is stored)

- Decode the SCO

- Change the value to 1, encode the SCO and test it

I believe that's the easiest way (recreating all missions will be very time-consuming).

@Michael_Townley: That's a great suggestion (I'll look into it for the next version).

I'll be posting on gta4-mods very soon too (thanks for the tip).

You should decrease the difficulty of the missions by making all targets have no armor. And you should make the objectives to disappear after 3 seconds or it will disturb the subtitle.

I saw this mod in GTA4-Mods and like what I expected, many people like it.

I will try to make a menu with difficulty selection (easy, medium, hard, ultra hard) on the next release =)

Suggestions:

> have the mission select menu automatically close once a mission is selected, otherwise it obstructs the view of the mission's description

> have an option to disable getting weapons when the missions start, a degree of planning could make the missions more interesting and increase difficulty through legitmate means

> randomly generated missions to play when all the other ones are completed. simple things like "Kill X target at Y location" or "Steal X car and return to Y" just to give the player something to do

10/10 mod otherwise probably one of the best ive ever installed

Michael_Townley

Agree with Ricebox, what about using our own weapons? If Niko doesn't have any weapons, he must go to the gun shop to buy some weapons. And also, adding additional objectives for all missions is a good idea as well. For example, you must chase the car and kill the driver.

The missions are good, hopefully you can make more awesome missions.

As far as the mission selection goes, I had an idea, although I don't know how easy it would be to do, or even if it's possible.

Anyway, what about making it so that you select the missions in the phone menu, similar to how you can select a mission to replay in TBOGT?

BTW: I'm surprised this doesn't get the same attention here that it does over on gta4-mods.

Any updates?

Not yet. Right now I am working on two items for the next release:

1 - Create a menu for each mission with difficulty selection, description, etc (as a lot of people are complaining about the mod being too hard and description window closing too fast).

2 - I liked JoeVK request (play CO-OP Missions such as Bomb da Base, Deal Breaker, etc), so I am basically doing low level editing on these scripts with SCOToolbox to make it work with only 1 player (but it's hard as f*ck, as I have no clue of which values should be changed). I managed to successfully start a mission with only 1 player after messing with some values, but it ends right away saying "One Player Remaining"

I will be creating new missions after finishing these 2 items listed above (or at least item #1).

Hey Rodd1981,

Thanks a bunch for this mod. It's a fantastic addition!

Is there a chance you could tell me how to disable the portion of the script that gives weapons and ammo to the player ?

I fired up the script file for Gsheist in SCOCL and there are some values such as "Give_weapon_to_char  4 0" - Though it doesn't make any sense to me. I tried changing it to 0 but the script would not save.

Thanks for any help you are able to give and thank you again.

Bro, I have the missions working.  But anytime I load the missions, I lose music for the rest of the game (whether I'm doing the missions or not).  I have to restart the game to get the music back.  I can just barely hear it in the background.  Any fix for that?
