Screen Kill effects

There is an option in Display that I don't recall seeing before called "Screen Kill Effects"

 

Does anyone know what this option does? Does this finally remove that terrible pulsating effect that happens when you are on a killstreak in a deathmatch?

I honestly have ZERO clue what it does.

At first I thought it was the option to turn on OFF the stupid , pulsating, red screen when you are on a kill streak in a Deathmatch.

But I have played DMs with the option ON and OFF and I still get the flashy puke screen.

 

I then figured it was something when you kill NPC's. But nothing happened.

Then I went to Story Mode and tried the option with Franklin and NOTHING changed. I tried killing and being Wasted and still noting.

 

And I tried Googling something about it but found nothing. So its a mystery.

Does anybody know now? PC version is out, "screen kill effects" is still an option. What does it do?
