Hydra VS Savage

Don't own the Savage yet as haven't done the mission, but I intend to

 

Each aircraft has their merit in different ways.

 

Take the mission Extradition. Which of the 2 would be better suited to chase a plane, shoot it down, shoot a limo, land and fly to Madrazos? Imo, the Hydra

 

Or what about Denial of Service? Chasing all the trucks, some of them tucked away requiring a few missiles or cannon shots? The Savage wins hands down here

 

 

Each vehicle should be judged on the situation it'll be used for, not just how good it is in general

On topic; I like them both, but I agree the Savage is extremely weak. One scratch and you're gone, which is a shame imo.

Savage.

 

The Hydra will get outclassed by somebody in a Lazer almost every time because it's too big, you don't need top speed in a dog fight. While the Savage is pretty much king as far as choppers go you've just got to play to its strengths.

Don't buy Savage, Buzzard is much better. At least with buzzard you can avoid some stingers. not sure why savage is even in the game. Must be a plastic battle hind made in china.

Savage, due to my MGS fetish. Hydra is not worth it imo, but hey if you got the money then why not?

 

And you can avoid stingers in the Savage, you just have to time it right because its not as maneuverable as the Buzzard obviously due to the sheer size.

 

I think Rockstar can at least bump the armor on this to two missiles before going down.

Fastest Jet in the game

Can carry people a lot of people on top of it in hover mode which can snipe from high altitudes

Can tokyo drift through tunnels

Can dodge homing missiles

 

Savage Pros:

Can carry 4 people

Rocket spam

Spawns on helipads which are bountiful

You know how to avoid the homing launcher with the hydra? Can you tell me how?

I killed the Hydra in a Savage once. But he was in hover and just getting into it. He killed my Savage many times after that with his maneuverability.

Can the hydra 'roll' at all like the lazer? Is it possible to do a loop?

Is there a specific button to switch from hover to flying mode?

Savage. I have no regrets choosing that over the Hydra.

 

In capable hands, it's monstrous. Maybe not in PvP, but in missions, it is. Slow, but it's main cannon and the ability to fire volleys of missiles make it a force to be reckoned with. Missions like Chop Chop become a breeze thanks to it.

 

GTAV's Hydra is just a watered down version of the SA one. Not worth the price tag. The Lazer is still better, and it's free. Even more better, it spawns in most missions.

I bought the Hydra - and I regret it. It is so fragile. Only few hits from small arms fire can bring it down.

Both are great!! The savage really could use an armor buff, especially on that tail rotor!! If you want to pvp then I would lean to the hydra, the savage must be made out of tissue paper or something. Vs the computer the savage is king, just be sure to raise the landing gear!!

 

I really enjoy both to be honest. Some situations the savage is better, some the hydra. Depends on what youre doing.

That's retarded. The Savage should be fast as sh*t and pretty much impervious to .50 cal rounds...f*cking R*....

 

 

And you can pilot the aircraft in the co-pilot seat (front seat)

 

And the cannon is non pivoting

 

And I just found out the co-pilot cannot use the cannon.
