Which aircraft do you prefer? The Hydra or the Savage?

i prefer the savage. for some reason the hydra just isn't really my thing. i've allways been more of a chopper guy anyways.

Hydra Pros:

Fastest Jet in the game

Can carry people a lot of people on top of it in hover mode which can snipe from high altitudes

Can tokyo drift through tunnels

Can dodge homing missiles

 

Savage Pros:

Can carry 4 people

Rocket spam

Spawns on helipads which are bountiful

fastest cannon fire rate

missiles do not overheat

4 occupants

unique cockpit ( if the pilot seat is currently unocuppied , the co-pilot instead take control of savage )

 

hydra :

heavier than P-966 Lazer

underneath cannon

being VTOL , able to switch between normal jet mode and hover mode ( accurate attacks on ground enemies but leaves the hydra vulneable )

it appears faster than P-966 Lazer or at least just having similar performance

shorter than P-966 Lazer , being able to enter sandy shores hangar , due to landing gear

Don't have it yet because I haven't had time to complete the last 2 heists yet, but the Savage is what I'll prefer. I like chopper much better than planes.

Hydra. Definitely worth the 3mil since it's the only fighter jet that can be bought in the game, plus, it has the VTOL hover mode that makes it similar to a helicopter (only it only tilts until a certain angle.)

So much easier to kill with, 4 seater, has overpowered weapons and is considerably cheaper than the Hydra. The Hydra really is more of a status symbol

I think I like the savage more cause you can spam rockets with it, the hydra feels much heavier than the laser, but it's probably just cause of the transition between hover/fly

I'd like to use the laser over it, but i also like having my own private jet now and don't have to keep going back to zancudo for one

Savage, but it's a matter of personal preference. Never hover, always strafe run the streets and balk away. It's a aircraft which need Annihilator practice and knowledge of city landscape to be used in PvP efficiently, as it can't be flown as low as the Buzzard due to lamp posts, narrow passages etc.

 

Not as much as Hydra, i like it for the drift kills.

Both are great. Hydra is a unique VTOL jet and the only storable fighter jet available. $3,000,000 is a serious price tag, but it worth it. I disagree, that it's faster than Lazer and it's more vulnerable to homing missiles, actually, but still can sustain 2 hits. It is a very, very deadly plane in the right hands and it's easier to pilot than Lazer. Now when Extradition is not spawning Lazers on Sandy airfield, I'm calling Hydra to complete the mission.

 

Savage is overpowered but unprotected, extremely vulnerable to homing missiles and it's a very big chopper with exposed tail rotor. Actually, you can destroy the rotor with a wrong landing. Great for missions, you can clear hangar in LSIA during Los Santos Connection in 10 seconds with this thing. Pure fun in RR: nuke the garage! In every mission with high concentrated targets it's a Game changer. In PvP with a cannon it's your Bad Sport pass.

I prefer Savage since I like armed choppers but Hydra would rip the Savage apart (both skilled pilots) no doubt, even if you take cover behind buildings etc. The Hydra can make vertical attacks where you'll have a hard time shooting. After all it's a jet vs a helicopter...

Hydra isn't faster - Lazer smokes it from a runway start - tested it today and it wasn't even a race. Hydra is significantly tighter in the turn, tho, due to the lower speed, thus it can outmanoeuvre Lazers.
