You can fail either a Heist Setup itself or the actual Heist finale. You just can't die at all.

 

Just got my $10,000,000 with my 3 other teammates. We failed a couple of heist setups but we didn't die at all.

 

For example: Say you are doing a Heist Setup and you destroy one of the vehicle's you have to steal or you alert a guard when you do a stealth type mission. You'll fail but it won't count. You just can't die is what I'm trying to point out.

The convoy mission with the savages is the 4th setup mission in pacific standard, isn't it?

This "Criminal Mastermind Challenge" is very easy. I'm almost 99% sure you guys will nail it!

It's really easy. Snipe the first savage with the convoy.

Wait until the convoy arrives to the bridge. Kill the driver and the passenger of the truck. Kill the guys on the insurgent, and all the merryweather mercenaries on the cars.

Stay with the insurgent on the road killing the merryweather mesas while the guy with the truck stays on the mountain at the left of the bridge sniping the savages down. Don't move until all the savages are down, it should be easy...

The harder thing is the bridge one, but after that? Piece of cake.

Doesn't quick-restarting a mission void the challenge progress though? How do you get around that, quit and start the lobby again?

Quick restarting voids the Elite Challenge for the Heist itself, not the Criminal Mastermind challenge.

I think so. Not too sure. *Edit*- it is, my mistake.

 

I've only played it with randoms, so that could be the reason why we failed it so many times. We beat it by escorting the truck on the train tracks lol.

Cool, thanks for the info--I'd been wondering about that.

 

Since you've done it, can you confirm that everyone gets 10 mil, or is it split 4 ways, 2.5 mil per? (I'm sure that's been posted somewhere already, but I haven't seen it.)
