You actually don't get to do that, you can make extra money for Franklin by purchasing properties and getting a cut every week or putting his money on the stock market.

My memory is pretty blank right now in terms of SP but if you haven't done the assassination missions yet from Lester, you can follow this guide here though it's recommended to save it until AFTER you complete the last mission. So for now just keep playing, you'll be earning money almost instantly as you progress...

 

I would give you advice on what stock to buy right now but it's always dynamic which means it changes every now and then for everyone, just check which one is low.. and try to destroy their competition and wait for their stocks to go back up before selling and so on.

The problem with money in V is you really don't get a significant amount of money until you finish the story-- then you really don't have a need for it when you are done with the story.
