Quick Job to Join Race Broken?

PS4. I always used to use quick job and go on call to join a race. Since the heist update I got into three low population races and two of which were races like "JUMPS!! OBSTACLES!" when before I would get into larger lobbies on R* verified tracks.

Now I can't even get into those, I go on call and at the bottom where it says what the title of the race is it says "Mirror Park Gang Attack" and it seems to infinitely stay on populating lobby and the player count continually changes.

I can't seem to join a race. Is this a known issue? Any fix for it?

I cannot also join a race with quick job since the second heist update. When trying, I'm like stuck in a glitch without any other option than going to another session. I will open a ticket to Rockstar support soon.

Same here. Guess most people are preoccupied with heists atm.

 

Aside of that, I really dislike this new system. If you get a race set 'on call', you can't exit the timer if you don't like it, except if you go into a store, or garage. Which is sh*t on itself cause you can't do anything usefull while waiting foe the race to start since it can last anywhere from 30 seconds to 5 minutes.

And you can't see the settings.

 

Befire when I joined 'on call', I could see the settings first like weather, traffic, catchup, slipstream. I hate GTA races in the rain with traffic, catch and slip for example, but there's no way of knowing now untill you start the race.

 

I could just exit as soon as it starts, but I spend eniugh time on loadingscreens allready. I wish they put back the 'old' on call system.

Haiya...for me the problem is this...i go quick job / race menu then all seems good until the "thump thump thump" zoom in from sky level to the race setup screen...then I'm stuck between some super foggy freeroam that I cannot move or reselect an option from or quit freeroam/race options that are totally unselectable...I need to leave gtaonline and rejoin from story mode to get back to freeroam again...its doing my nut in!!...I can't just race...ggrrrrrr!!!

@Bubba Blackmeat - I also have that problem as well having to leave GTA Online when I try to do a quick

race, can't really seem to find a fix for that so I'd avoid using the quick race option just now until its working

again.

I don't like as the settings are unknown to me and straight in at the start to pick vehicle.

Lucky you can get that far cjdavies...I can host a race and play by myself no problem...but if I go quick race the camera zooms from the sky to outside some building in the city no matter the race its the same zoomin spot then on the 3rd thump of the zoomin I'm some where stuck between freeroam outside the grand senora airfield but the screen is just gray and wobbly yet the sound is clearly the sounds of the city (lots of cars and stuff)...I know I'm not the only one becouse I was playing today and not a single popup message to join a race came up...plenty for hiests and missions...not 1 race one though...and...if I go quick race from the phone it just sits saying something like "grand senora airfield populating lobby 7/32"...basically racing is borked!

(A bit late, but anyways).

PS4. I have the exact same problem, when I want to join a race via my phone via quick race, the game puts me in an 'on call' lobby forever. The names of these lobbies, Chumash Gang Attack for example, are also not even races in the first place!?! What is going on? The weird thing is; I can join lobbies for other activities, such as heists and missions, without any problems.

 

I already tried rebuilding the database of my PS4 and I downloaded the patch again. Both worked for a short amount of time, but within a day the problems came back. What do I do?

Same problem here! Seems that all 30 (or 16) players dm or races are broken. I can join only 8 players lobby by using the phone. If i enter a 30 player lobby, it gets stuck.
