Anyone tried shooting at different parts of people?

Recommended Posts

Aikor

What i meant was like using a pistol and shooting to like

EXCEPT armored people

Chest: Which should be a 1 hit kil since the heart is there..does it happen

Leg: If shot at he or she should limp away(i love doing this in IV though he clutches his stomach instead of limping which made me dissapointed)

Double leg shot: If shot at the 2 legs..he should prone away

Crotch shot: Like in vice city or vice city stories where if u shoot there its a 1 hit kill and he wil clutch that part and die

And yes i dont have GTA V and i rarely play it at my cousins house because i am a PC gamer...so yea i hope these things are there in PC version since there is free aim and i could free shoot at any parts of the people *Evil laugh* its pretty fun...so anyone tried ?

I think it varies mate, if your killing a vagos then bodyshots are effective with a pistol, a merryweather soldier or noose will be more armored though so you're best aiming for the legs or head amd with a better gun.

...so yea i hope these things are there in PC version...

I'm gonna go ahead and do you a favor right now and tell you to lower those expectations or suffer disappointment. None of those things are in the game even on next gen. They won't be on pc either.

Only headshots are one hit kills. Every other body part is treated the same. And it doesn't matter where or how you shoot them, if they survived, they'll get up and run away like nothing happened. The only ounce of realism in the killing mechanics is, when they get too fatally damaged, they lie on the ground and bleed out. This is rare however.

I generally just aim+fire center body mass until they don't move anymore :)

Eh? I have that all the time.

But you're right about the rest. I'm pretty sure mods can change it on PC, though.

-L2

-Auto Aim

-Red Mark

-Keep shooting with R2 until the red mark dissapears.

I really don't have time to shoot to a certain part of the enemy, all I want to do is to kill him no matter of how.

Well shooting at someone's leg will garuantee for them to stay down, and die, however they'll still be able to shoot you from the ground until they're very much dead. Shooting the chest is a whole different story, after a couple of shots they will be bleeding so much they'll eventually fall down and die.

it's easy, aim for the head. Use an SMG and the recoil will be lower, so you can hold down the trigger and wipe horizontally.

Shooting at cops' legs is pretty important on No Minimap/Free Aim because often you have no idea when you're getting flanked, and it's more important to immobilize a few cops as fast as possible than to just waste an extra half second to try get head shots. It really depends on their cover/your cover. If you have an open flanks and they're in cover behind their cars... and you have no idea how many cops are approaching behind you (no Minimap), often I'll just spray a little below their doors to try knock 'em down to stop shooting at me while I try find cover. Especially if you're on 3-stars and the sheriffs are wearing bullet proof vests.

I usually instinctively move the right stick up a bit and get head shots a lot. Have done this ever since red dead redemption for some reason

Please dont listen to the negative people up here. gun damage in this game (at least in single player) is only a slight step down from max payne 3. You can't wound people like red dead, but the damage is still really realistic. two shots to the torso with a pistol will put down any unarmed target. other body part shots take slightly more or less rounds depending on the gun, but mostly its the same. armored targets will f*ck you up if you shoot them only in the armor, especially ai enemies online. bullets have fall off online, but i havent really noticed much in singleplayer, which is realistic. I know from my experiences online that the 9mm from the in-game version of the mp5 has alot of fall-off.

The only thing "bad" about the game is that the fully automatics all have exaggeratedly low recoil, like the lowest ive seen in a while (way more than gta 4 and its beautiful uzi and max payne 3) ,which is pretty disappointing. i was hoping for kane and lynch 2 styled recoil, but its definitely WAAYYYY more tame.

Lock n' Stock

GTA V took a huge step backwards in this department imo. I remember when you shot people in certain body parts in RDR, they'd limp around. Hell, shoot both the legs of any NPC and they'd be on their knees almost helpless.

You're an actual liar lol. Legshots in GTA 5 kill people basically instantly, especially unarmored ones. I tried doing that to everything but actually armored people like soldiers in gear, NOOSE (aka SWAT/FBI etc.) and reliably, any shot that hits the thigh or ANYTHING below is a one hit kill.

They writhe on the ground and die in less than 10 seconds, rarely returning fire if they're police. I've literally been able to get to 5 wanted stars using just leg shots it's kinda funny lol and I mean with the basic Beretta.
