There will be more players in GTAO than on PS3?

Recommended Posts

I wanna move from PS3 to PC. PC multiplayer will have more players than on PS3?

Also, if I'm playing as female on PS3 will be able to change my character to male?

I would say yes, there will be more players, but if online is bugged or broken, then there won't be a lot people online at all. As for changing your character to male im'm not sure.

Right, like it was on next gen. Most of the time i played on next gen i would get connected to a server with only about 5 people.

If online gets filled with hackers and game breakers, then GTAO will die within months unless, of course, Rockstar have something up their sleeves, like they did with MP3 multiplayer.

If not, then GTAO on PC will definitely have lots more players than PS3 and it'll be active for years to come.

Through the whole year on mp3 it always seemed like it was the same 20 people i was playing with. Do you think they put me in the cheat pool? Or there was not many mp3 players at all

I too play mp3 mp but i don't see familiar faces all the time. My point is that mp3 mp has a system where hackers and cheaters are put in a bad sport lobby. GTA V followed suit. So if gtao doesn't follow the mp3 way and goes the gta iv way, then gtao will die soon on the pc.

GTA Online sucks. I rather use some multiplayer client like SAMP for San Andreas.

No, it doesn't suck. It has some problems, yes. But it doesn't suck. It's fun with friends.

Playing with random people can be annoying, though.

What are GTA Online's problems? I'm curious.

Poor connectivity to other lobbies, servers crashing, getting kicked out for no reason, ridiculously long loading screens, some online missions bugging out and causing you to restart. Problems like that are quite common in GTA Online.

Speaking of GTA V receiving a custom made Online client like GTA SA did, i completely agree. Those custom made clients were awesome, and they were built on a game that wasn't even intended to be played online. Not to mention, most of the servers had their admins and owners, so all the hackers would be banned and get rid off immediately. Also, you would be able to go above the player limit of just 30 players. Sa-MP had servers with hundreds of people in it.

If the same group of programmers who worked on Sa-MP worked on GTA V-MP, it would be dope. GTA Online will sadly be ruined by hackers. There are hackers in GTA Online on consoles, so imagine how bad it'll be on GTA V. I doubt it'll be as bad as it was in GTA IV, but bad non the less.

GTA O will be much better on PC. Im glad they delayed it so we dont have to deal with bugs caused by heists release too. Chat feature is one of the the most important things too.

Chat? What is it? 2000s? Only some cheap indie multiplayer games use chat these days.

you sound retarded. How are deaf people supposed to communicate with people in MP games? And what about people who don't have microphones or the quality of them is not good enough ?

SAMP sucks just as much! LOL There cannot and will not ever be a perfect multiplayer experience, because of GTAV's open world unique nature, which is build and thought out around the way, it is meant to be experienced by yourself...SAMP is good for a while, if you aren't taking it seriously and just playing for the sake of some gags, but all in all - its a total waste of time and immersion killer!...

It will...

GTAO is f*cked up on LG...hell even CG..is facing some of them..

I'm sure...it will be even more worse on the PC...cz its PC..its too easy to hack..

either R* or the PC community have to bring out a way to deal with these hackers...like seriously...

The only reason i would keep myself away from GTAO would be the mods on PC....god i can't even imagine the madness to come..

Let's hope its not this way..

Imagine a mix of both :) Modders could mesh the good features of GTA Online and the benefits of a custom made client like SA-MP had. Therefore we would have a more stable online experience, with more people to play with, admins to ban all the hackers out and etc. You see, GTA SA never was a multiplayer game. GTA V is, so there's a already a solid ground to build on for programmers. Just a few tweaks and we would be golden.

The consensus wouldn't be ever reached though, because like i said, the way people see it to make them happy with MP experience - is impossible, if its not "performance" issues, then it will be balance issues! There simply cannot be a middle ground for multiplayer experience in a free roaming open world game, in which emphasis is "you and the rest of the world and how you interact with it"...other elements, that online experience usually tends to bring only offers chaos and unbalancing already balanced world!...no modder (even the most talented) can change that! At least with those technologies and hardware we've got now, maybe some day, but now the whole concept is flawed and nothing will change regarding that following years...

wtf are you even saying. The reason GTA Online sucks is awful servers and stupid loading screens. All of which can be tweaked by modders easily.
