Maxing out player stats?

Hi, i have a question, is stats when you max out make in diffrence during story/SP? In GTA SA CJ stats were noticable when you compare low and max for example weapons skills or vehicles skills.

They definitely help a bit in SP, in side missions that require you racing on foot or on bike.. it's necessary to max out your stamina so you don't get tired easily and get left behind, shooting of course helps you aim better..reload faster and also gives you more ammo capacity, strength helps you take more damage, flying helps you land/take off easier as well as deal with turbulence easier and so on.

The driving stat allows better control of your vehicle while in the air.

The stamina stat allows you to sprint longer.

The strength stat allows you to do more melee damage and climb ladders faster, it also helps you absorb more damage.

The shooting stat only effects reload speeds.

The flying stat allows you to control aircrafts easier

The "special ability" stat increases the duration of the special ability, with it maxing out at 30 seconds.

The stealth stat is essentially worthless.

 

In my honest opinion, every stat except the flying stat are worthless. GTA San Andreas did it much better and it was much more noticeable as well.

The quickest way to max out strength is to fight. Fight and fight often and take a little damage too as that helps. The quickest way and about the only way to increase the stealth stat is to knock people out from stealth mode.
