So... after seventeen months worth of frustrating delays, unbridled hype, supposed leaks, rampant speculation and countless "It's Happening GIFs", what do you honestly think about heists? Were they worth the wait? Were they everything that you hoped and dreamed that they would be? Most importantly, did R* deliver?

I honestly didn't expect much from heists. The hype was out of this world, and I figured that there was no way that the heists would be what people were hoping and praying to for. That said, I've been pleasantly surprised. It was a long road to get here, but I'm enjoying heists immensely. Yeah, there were/are hiccups, especially where connectivity is concerned, but GTAO's had connectivity problems since day 1. Get a decent group of people together, and heists really come into their own, IMO. I think R* managed to weave them into GTAO's world pretty well. The payouts are decent when you factor in the time you spend vs doing regular missions, but I'm not really concerned with the money; I'm only here to have fun, and heists deliver in that regard. I finished the Humane Labs heist with some well-coordinated randoms, made three new friends and literally had some of the most fun I've ever had in videogame. On top of the genuinely satisfying gameplay, some of the new vehicles are really nice. Others are pure troll/griefer machines. I honestly don't mind, though; good, challenging firefights in free roam are a good thing, IMO.

TL/DR: Overall, I'm thoroughly impressed, I haven't had this much fun since my early days in GTAO.

The logistics of getting everyone together is a pain. You either have too many or too few...but that doesn't detract from the heists themselves.

I'm enjoying the cooperative game-play and strategy.

Most of the heists are pretty great, bar the Fleeca one. The vehicles are awesome and pretty different from what we have had before.

The only thing that makes the heists update somewhat crappy are the servers which this is the second time R* has failed to anticipate how many people would be playing. GTA Online launch 2.0

This.

The only thing that is stopping me enjoying them fully is the unreliable servers.

Rockstar spent the last how long "polishing" heists lol. My favorite things are the face bandana and the ability to point my finger. Second best update content wise in my opinion, a severe disappointment otherwise

The one setup mission for the Humane Labs Raid is a f*cking whore if you have morons (most people on GTA) that don't have guns with suppressors. Plus it is frustrating when the alarm goes off randomly because the scientists start running out of no where.

I'm meh. The payouts should be higher in my opinion but you know cash cards. It would be better if you could hire A.I instead. Too many morons online. But the best thing about it would probably be the vehicles and aircraft especially the insurgent and savage.

The heists? Cool.

The getting DC'd? Not cool.

The morons who screw up, half the time on purpose? Frustrating.

The waiting a half hour for people to join, just for someone to leave while picking an outfit? Maddening.

1 - The payouts were never going to be amazing, and I actually figured they'd be a lot lower, so to me, there's nothing to bitch about here.

2 - The point of heists is a cooperative player experience....you can't get that hiring AI.

3 - Too many morons online? Make better friends. Problem solved.

As for me, I'm loving these things. There's plenty of action, individual parts are fun, and Rockstar lived up to their promise of having everyone engaged in all parts of the heists. When you add in that I've had zero connection issues the whole time on PS4 and it's a home run experience. I only wish I had a fourth garage so I didn't have to sell off some vehicles to try out new ones.

People still moaning about money? Heists pay just fine, plus they've pretty much trebled the pay out on selling street cars to LSC.

I'm loving Hesists after tsking an extended break from GTA. As everyone else says, my only problem is matchmaking and the server issues

By far the most fun I've had in this game since the IV days on PC and PS3 (not as good though)

Wish there were a few more, I wouldn't mind at least 7 or so in total instead of 5.. but hopefully with the success this was all along that they add newer ones in the upcoming future. Just crossing my fingers that it doesn't take another 2 years or so, they just released their most promised addition to Online, next stop would be the SP DLC they mentioned 2 years ago and then from there they can start adding bigger content.

It's good. It's an 8 out of 10, a solid effort.

Having spent the first hour getting our crew together and having those who had already played, explain the structures and setup to those that hadn't (me), by the time we got going, we all enjoyed ourselves.

We (our crew) all agreed that THIS was the GTA Online we'd all wanted.

But the Hydra is going to dominate everything in freemode, just like tanks eventually did.

The best dlc as far as I'm concerned. I find the heists more fun than whatever content gta online had. Wasn't that big of a fan of the Fleeca and Trevor heist. I still haven't started the last heist. I love replaying the heist as a different role.

For me I wasn't just in it for the heists...but the freedom in freemode that having large amounts of money allows. While the heist payouts aren't as brilliant as I would hope they do help to alleviate it. No longer do I have to grind the same mission over and over to make $250k, now I can just do a heist and away I go :D

HelloMyNameIs...

Heists: Meh

Vehicles: Meh

I mean the heists are fun, but I feel like I'm forcing myself to play them. Only played the Fleeca heist so I can't really judge them as a whole. I don't know what it is I just can't get into them. :(

The vehicles are cool but I don't see myself buying them cause I'm broke as hell. :p

Don't get me wrong this is by far the best update we've had, I don't know why I just can't bring myself to play them. Not trying to sound like a dick. :(

I finished all the heists, unlocked everything and bought the stuff I wanted =( back to contact missions I guess...

this update was incredible! Idk what the hell took them so long but they were finally released and they were pretty damn fun. Can't wait until we get some more tho, I've got nothing left to do!

It feels like the early days when people played, plus I have surpringly good luck finding randies with headsets, a working grasp of the English language, and they've mostly gone through puberty.

It's a golden age, kids, enjoy it.

overrated² and like almost any other aspect of GTA:O the fun is determined by who you do it with. that is if u even get to do one

ive had some great Swordfisht® like runs with great players, ive had many FUBAR runs with complete retards

so what do i think?

sigh...meh

I love the concept of Heists DLC and I love the vehicles, outfits and fixes, but I'm not going to replay any of the Heists missions after the unlocks. The thing is, it's really hard to find 4 adults to play with. Sometimes, I think 2 or 3 players will be enough.

There are two major problems with Heists right now: connectivity issues affecting matchmaking and community. Theoretically, you can fix it both with one shot, inviting your mates with stable connections.

Elric_Francis92

The ONLY thing ruining the heists are people who refuse to use mics/ cooperate. It as if they think the game will hand them a win seriously why do people WANT to waste time? Learning curve sure I can forgive that. Purposely dropping out because people need to learn it? What trailer trash park you came from to have this holier than thou attitude?

If you were that good you wouldn't NEED randoms. JERK. I love teaching and showing people and I know I will need the same for the last two heists I need to do.

I thought we were going to be stealing sh*t. You know, actual "heist". Most of these "heist" are nothing but co-op missions with high payouts and ridiculous requirements.

There is no room for error or free will when trying to complete the missions. It's literally do the missions the way R* wants you to do them or fail.

Don't get me wrong I like the co-op missions, they're really fun. It's just that I thought we were going to be stealing sh*t from banks, museums, jewelry stores, etc. not breaking people out of prison yada yada yada.

i didn't expect much to be honest, but i tend to think like that so if things are a big fail there is no letdown. "hope for the best, expect the worst".

Heist themselves are pretty good i think and there is only a couple of the vehicles i want, but all in all very good if only R* would get the server issues fixed then things would be golden. :beerhat:

As a huge gamer and lover of gta I am thoroughly disappointed... This is a half baked release at best. R cannot be this stupid.... to allow such a frustrating game design out and not admit it sucks is disgraceful. Yeah heists is great. IF you play with friends and only trusted or mature players. That's it. Play with random idiot kid from Kentucky and forget about beatin it. Think I'm whining like a baby? I tried I really tried to give this kid a shot to improve his game. I mean not about excluding children but he just sucked ass. How can you die 3 times boy.... serious. Had to quit and turn off my ps3. Waisted hours on that one stupid heist. That issue plus the heist sabotaging going on renders this dlc unplayable with the public.

Besides all the server issues, waiting for full lobby's and random idiots, the heists are as good as I expected. With the right team it is highly exciting. I also like all the new stuff and unlocking it. Yes I do believe Rockstar delivered, when it comes to the heists..
