Are there any benefits to making a second character?

People stash money so they don't have to pay insurance etc, plus there is (was?) a glitch to re-edit your primary character when it gives you the option to edit your secondary. Not sure of the exact method.

doesn't work anymore. Insurance comes from where ever you have enough funds now.
