[Idea] Aircraft Carrier appears as a Random Event in Free Roam!

I really love the Aircraft Carrier from the Heist mission and I think it's really a shame that we cannot explore it outside of the Heists.

 

I've got an idea/suggestion how R* could implement it into Free Roam!

What if the carrier spawns randomly on his position as a Random Event?

 

Like every few GTA Days a message appears: "A military aircraft carrier has been spotted near the docks"

 

Then you can come there with a Boat or Helicopter and be able to enter and explore it. You can kill the Marines, make some cool snapmatics and steal jets.

 

If the carrier would be there permanently in free roam, everybody would probably go there and steal jets (as it's easier than from Zancudo), that's why the random event!

 

What do you guys think about it?

The aircraft carrier should of been in freemode going around the map it be harder to find since it's constantly moving.

This....don't have the carrier marked on the map, but have it roam the waters and you just have to find it. The cruise ship too

Have it like Fort Zancudo. Unmarked on the map, SAM missiles for non-military jets, 4 star wanted level when entered. l

There definitely needs to be more incentives to draw people to water-based activities and exploration--IMO it's one of the most underused aspects of the game. Same thing holds true for the underground tunnels/new mineshafts. Most activity resides in the city, which is good, but it gets old; and there's plenty of scenery and map for other activities that R* needs to start taking advantage of.

 

One example would be (although not plausible from a 'storyline' aspect), having boats randomly scattered around the edge of the Alamo Sea, providing a practical means of getting across, so you don't have to drive around during freeroam and missions (really annoying).

Rockstar should have done this in the first place, it's a great idea, especially to have it move (unmarked on the map) so you have to look for it. post your idea here or send directly to the R* devs:

it should circle the map and have all armed vehicles aboard plus a cargobob.

have patrolling boats, jets and snipers on the bridge though.

Im all for this, really i am...but you forget that R* want us to purchase jets etc. Personally i think there should be a legitimate petition so we can have say what we want. The loyal GTA fans, who just want to have FUN! Good idea OP

It should be a lester event or trevor go and f*ck up merryweather and u get rp and cash for it all the while battling other player on the carrier in that lobby
