Awful Matchmaking in Heists

Recommended Posts

Currently I am on the "Prison Break: Plane" heist. I go to start it up, and I press "Auto-invite".

I wait... and wait... and wait.

If you're lucky, a player will join the game... more waiting... "Player left the game".

And then it's back to square one.

My question is: Why is the matchmaking limited to the people in the current session? I'm on Xbox 360, so it's up to only 16 players. 3 of those 16 players have to join my game in order for the heist to start.

"Why not just play with friends?", you ask? Well, I have like 3 friends I know IRL who play this game. They don't play regularly. It's just easier to play with randoms sometimes.

How I think matchmaking should be:

- You pick the heist that you want to do.

- There should be an option to Join an open session.

You can join a job/mission, but not a heist? WTF Rockstar?

Joined players should have the ability to invite their friends

Goodings idea,...also there should be some kinda realtime pool people can throw their hat in and then you pick them if available.

Current design only works best with organized crew, but rag'tag with randoms can be fun too. I always jump into 1st fleeca heist as its two person and chance to recruit.

Currnently up to bus in prison break, not inna rush just enjoyings it...

It kills me sometimes...I was trying to complete to prison job with another player, but we got two players on that insisted on being the ground crew. The problem is it was a level 24 and level 53, and I don't beleive either had the skill, nor the health level to pull it off on Hard. So we ended up repeating it 15 times before i dozed off flyng the Velum into the ground and decided to bow out.

And, even if you DO get people to start the job, they are usually just awful at the game.

These people would do the same thing over and over again. We would be so close to finishing the heist and someone would die. One time, one of the players killed another player somehow. Smh.

They do. The host has a setting to allow other players to send invites.

Had this the first two days after the update... not anymore though

They've removed it with tunables because it was causing some problems.

I've had players on the Humane setup where you have to sneak into the place to put the insurgent in there, after about a 5-6 minute drive when we finally arrive they pull out rocket launchers and start blowing everybody up in turn alerting all the guards making us has to restart the mission. You would think they would learn after the 4th time.. I've been stuck on this mission for two days now since not a single crew has been able to just not run and gun in a stealth mission.

Go to the Find a Lobby and Meetups section here and add ppl who play on the same system to your friends list. Write Heists in the subject menu so they know why you are friending them. I did this and I constantly get invites. You can choose to send invites to them before just inviting evryone.

That lobby is dead. Can't get a single invite.

Edit: 360

Edit: dead for 360. That's for sure lol

Never let the low levels in a heist always fk it up. Had the series A heist where it took 10 minutes for the person to go on the spot. Then that person did not want to drive the car which left a huge gap in teamwork yet that person did not ready until he got 25%.

The lobby isnt dead, there are a lot of ppl posting, just not many for xbox 360.. Go to the Heists Free agents thread and add ppl They might not be on now, but they might be in the future, so you wont have this problem

I posted my information in the free agents thread and got only 1 invite. 20-30 mins of waiting time. Awful.

@Lucky I would go to a very active crew and invite them. That's how I did it.

I had no problem connecting to a dudes fleeca heist using the phone, then when we spawned in with no radar or weapons wheel he restarted and invited me back, about 5 times "unable to connect". I can't even join people on my friends list with a direct invite using the Xbox menu. But I can use the join fleeca scope out setup button with out fail
