Cars in storage no longer usable in races?

Used the search function, but didn't find anyone mention this.

 

I have 8 of my favorite race vehicles in storage in Sandy Shores, but I'm not able to pick them in custom vehicle races anymore.

 

I don't know if they changed that since today's patch or in the heist update, but why would Rockstar do this? Or is it a bug and am I the only one?

When you move from a garage that had, let's say 10 cars, to one with only 2 garage slots, the game sends the rest of your cars to the storage.

Meaning that you still own them, but you don't see them in your garage. Gotta phone up the mech to use.

Confirmed here on the Xbox 360. My cars in storage (i.e.: slots 7-10 of a 6 car garage) can no longer be selected in races. Unbelievable. Why Rockstar, why?

it was not cheating, it was in the patch notes way back when that it was an added feature so you could still access the cars in storage.

Cheatings a bad word I used. I was thinking of the people who bought a ten car garage, stored vehicles, and switched to a two car garage to save money.

 

I own a two car garage due to location, and I'm fine with this sacrifice.

how does switching from a 10 car garage to a 2 car garage save you any money? The only reason I do it (and probably everyone else) is because there are no 10 car garages up north.

 

btw, the stored cars are still accessible for free roam via the mechanic, just not for races.

Have not had any cars in storage but its either a bug or it was not intended that you could use stored

cars in races and so they've corrected the game or decided to change the rule for using those vehicles

in races.

Yes, I own a 2 car apartment for location and because I think they look the best. (and got beers lol) I bought a 10 car garage first, then moved so I had to invest more money to keep my 30 cars.

 

I really hope they fix this soon, I'll move around some cars for the time being.

Ya a bug and another GTAO forum myth. It was never "storage" it was always "glitching"

 

I'm surprised the cars still exist, they should be gone altogether

I can add that for those of us who have done the cars onto bike rack glitch, those cars are no longer available in races, either. They were never available from the mechanic, but could be used off the bike rack, and used to be available in races. Now they're not. And that's where I've been hiding all my ugly race cars with their offroad tires...
